Thank you very much! They helped me in a difficult situation for me. I have care for which I am very grateful! I would like to especially mention Olga Sofronova.a fair, honest and very decent employee of your noble organization. Sensitive and attentive, polite and responsible in her difficult work. I am very grateful to the administration for selecting such wonderful personnel. I hope that all your employees are like Mrs. Safronova! I wish you all good health, happiness and great success in your noble work!

I applied for my autistic daughter in DECEMBER of 2022 and was approved for a very small amount of hour which I still have not received due to public authority not processing my doj results which they received back in JUNE as well as all other tasks being completed since April.

How long should I just be sitting and waiting? I applied for my son who's autistic in September and got all the necessary paperwork plus additional evidence of disability and need for services I am already an ihss worker and have gone through orientation finger printing and background check im just wondering why I haven't received a notice of action yet or a call back from our worker after leaving a message to find out if I need to do anything on more on my end.

So disappointed in my experience with IHSS thus far. I'm a social work grad student who simply wanted to earn extra income over summer break in a meaningful, helpful way. Instead, I've received higher amounts of financial stress and built-up resentment. After working for over a MONTH-completing all necessary paperwork, scans, etc.as quickly as possible-I still have not gotten paid. The agency isn't upfront enough about the onboarding process, nor is it equitable and inclusive. If I-as someone who can understand government systems relatively well & has unearned privilege-am having trouble navigate IHSS, I can only imagine how awful it is for those with language barriers & economic disadvantage. It's so hard to talk to a human on the other line when you call, and it is impossible to reach the payroll department in person (and not get hung up on after holding, as has happened 3 times now).

To be clear, this frustration is aimed at the agency as a WHOLE. I really feel for the employees who are trying their best and keep coming up against barriers. Sacramento County IHSS needs to find solutions to become more accessible & equitable, so its recipients in need can actually get the help they deserve from providers who aren't burnt out (please reference counties like Santa Clara, where the IHSS process is all online and MUCH more streamlined). It's no wonder there is a provider shortage; what kind of California resident can afford to wait weeks for their first paycheck, only to be compensated $16.50 per hour for laborious caretaking work?

IHSS IS WORST THAN DMV, PEOPLE WHO WORK THERE MIGHT SPEAK ALLL DIFFERENT LANGUAGES, BUT ALL OF THEM DO NOT KNOW AND DONT MAKE SENSE. YOU CAN NOT TALK TO ANYONE WHO IS ABLE TO HELP. AS IF THINGS WERE NOT SCREWED UP ENOUGH, NOW WE ALREADY STRESSED OUT, NEED TO SIGN IN AND OUT ON THE PHONE. SOME AREAS OF LA DO NOT HAVE CELL TOWERS AND CAN NOT CONNECT, SO WHAT DO WE DO? DID YOU THINK ABOUT THAT. I HAVE TWO KNIDS WITH EPILEPSY, AS IF IT WAS NOT ENOUGH CARING FOR THEM 24 /7 NOT WE HAVE TO WORRY ABPOUT PROVIDERS PHONE SYSTEM, I THINK A PERSO WHO THOUGHT OF THIS SHOULD BE FIRED!

Heard the horror stories about applying to become a provider. Got to experience them myself. Completed all the necessary application steps three months ago. Have been providing care during that time unpaid. Received a letter today that stated that I had not completed one or more of four steps below that were marked. None of the steps were marked. And I have completed all of them anyway. Below that it says if there are any inaccuracies in the letter then call the number above. The number listed above doesn't work. Ridiculous. Had to call another number to leave a message for a call back in three days. If not resolved by 6/13 I don't get paid. The horror stories are all 100% true.

This company should do a better job at training the employees on respect and compassion. Remember just because your the one answering the phone doesn't give you power or make you any better of a human than the person your serving. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable the way the payroll speaks to its providers.

Called this number because their address was found in my W2 and I had some questions about my W2. I waited to speak with the payroll department about it. The person who answered the phone did not greet me, instead just straight up ask for my social security number. I was hesitant but give it to them anyway if that's what they needed to helped me. I told him that I believe my W2 needs to be corrected, he then rudely tells me to speak with my local county and emphasized that "nobody will help you" after asking him follow up questions. I was speechless at this man's lack of customer service, etiquette and lack of compassion. This is probably the rudest customer experience that I have ever experienced. Their payroll staff needs to be monitor and be taught on how they speak to their customers in order to give out good customer service. I don't know how this man sleeps at night after saying all these terrible stuff to a stranger he only spoke with for a few minutes. 0/5 - not recommended to speak with them, poor customer service.

We were there to pick up sandbags. There was a very nice gentleman with his sons helping people who were trying to get sandbags. Very helpful and kind! Thank you very much for your help! Highly appreciated Happy New Year!

I worked over 200 hours while waiting for finger printing and finishing orientation. I have been waiting for over 5 weeks for a provider number to get get timesheets filed so I can get paid, specifically backpay. It's been over 4 months since I started working for a disabled blind person and I had to stop as they do not pick up their phones or answer the messages in the portal. While waiting the disabled person was looking for more care providers and they were asking for pain medicine from him. I'm not getting paid, they are non responsive, the union is not helping me and the disabled person has no care now as I can't volunteer and have to make a living for my family.
