Sacred Heart Academy Preschool

Sacred heart is a wonderful preschool with fun and kind teachers and staff. Their outside play area is larger than most! Our son loves going to school everyday.

I write this review on the eve of my daughter’s graduation from SHAP. It is so bittersweet as I’m so excited for her next chapter but I will really miss the preschool experience. Fortunately, I have two preschoolers attending SHAP so it’s not goodbye for good yet! The teachers, staff, and the director, Ms. Rebecca, are truly exceptional people. You can tell they really love what they do! The level of care, kindness, and compassion towards the children really shows as my kids love going to school. I know my kids are happy, safe, nurtured and challenged. Both of my kids started SHAP at 2 years old (just babies!) in the Little Explorers class with Ms. Liz and Ms. Lori. They have progressed and grown so much (emotionally, cognitively and socially) and I’m beyond proud of them. I can’t even take credit for potty training my kids as the amazing teachers and staff are really the ones that helped accomplish this milestone. The school also offers extra-curricular activities that my kids love participating in. We have done Soccer Shots, Amazing Athletes, Kinder Dance and Religion. I also really love the Brightwheel app. As a full-time working mom it is so nice to get glimpses of my kids’ day via pictures, updates, posting of curriculums and messages of what our kiddos are up to. It truly takes a village to raise children and we truly feel blessed to be a part of the SHAP community. On a side note, I opted to keep my kids at SHAP when they could have gone to UTK—I think that says a lot about how I feel about this little amazing preschool!

We love Sacred Heart! Both of our boys attended and we can’t wait for our third to start! The entire staff and teachers are loving and extremely thoughtful. They take the time to learn about your child and work with their individual needs. They make learning fun! SHAP is a great school and we are blessed to be a part of it.

Amazing preschool with the most caring staff and teachers. At the beginning of the year my son couldn't write his name (or any letter for that matter), now he can write his name out and read/identify sight words. I have no doubt that he will be prepared for kindergarten. Thank you SHA!

Sacred Heart preschool has been instrumental to our family and the growth of our 2 little ones. We have had our boys there since they were 2 years old and we are so grateful for them. They supported our family while my husband was deployed, help with our littles gaining their confidence during potty training, supporting them to grow their independence, etc. They use the app “Brightwheel” and has been great to help facilitate the communication with the teachers. We even get photos of the kids during the day. Mrs. Rebecca, the director, is hands on and cares for each student as if they were her own children. All the teachers are warm and caring. How blessed we are to have such a wonderful preschool right in our neighborhood! Highly recommend!

SHAP is wonderful! SHAP has helped our boys be well prepared for K and UTK.
They have plenty of class activities and we love how involved the staff is with their development. We can’t wait for our third son to start next year!

We have been attending Sacred Heart Academy Preschool for the last 8 years with our 3 children. They are family and I can’t think of a better place for them to learn and grow. The school places an emphasis on play but still challenging them with skills for kinder such as scissor work, spatial relations, numbers, sight words, etc. Miraculously, they had my kids potty trained pretty much within a week. Most importantly my kids have learned social skills that have made them confident, empathetic, and kind that have carried them far as they easily transitioned to elementary school. I know I will be in tears as my youngest graduates this summer as it is a truly magical place that has had so much of an impact on our children’s lives.

My kids both started attending SHAP at 2 years old. My littlest will start there next year. We have had a great experience with the teachers at SHAP. My kids learned a ton, most important to me, was about being a part of a group and participant in a class setting. We loved having our little ones with Ms Lori and Ms Liz who both excel with the little ones and were so supportive with potty training! My kids both loved being in Ms Michelle and Ms Sherrilynne’s classes and my oldest who has graduated loves coming back to say hello and catch up with them. Ms Rebecca is a beacon of kindness and care who is fantastic at keeping us informed about kiddos. I love seeing her smiling face every morning. SHAP is a great school and we love the community and families we’ve met there.

Sacred Heart Academy Preschool (SHAP) is truly a gem of a school. The teachers, classrooms, director - everything about them is amazing. The curriculum truly prepared our twin daughters for kindergarten so much so that their new school visited SHAP to commend them on their education and ask that more of their students be funneled to their school once kids are ready for kinder. We will miss the staff, school, and friends dearly next year!

I am very pleased and happy I found Sacred Heart Academy Preschool. The Teachers and staff are very patient, friendly, and full of integrity. They sincerely love their work and give love to all children while teaching goodness and right from wrong. The facility is big and open with tons of outdoor activities and even an outdoor lunch area. They always keep communications open and actually use the Brightwheel app for updates everyday. I am very pleased to have found SHAP!
