Grocery Store Safeway reviews
28Tried and true. It's a Safeway. Clean, well lit, generally well stocked with everything you'd expect from a middle class American supermarket. I've been going here for years, and that's really all that needs to be said.
The Sunnyvale Safeway is better than most all other Safeways I have been in but it is still major chain grocery store. This can be a plus for your everyday purchases.
Despite being busy, the checkouts are fast (Social distancing is maintained). Self checkout counters are helpful.
I find the Safeway cakes far too sweet.
I needed something to be open early and there behold was Safeway thank God for Safeway this place was great and the service was excellent
I found everything i was looking for.cashier very friendly.nice good service.come one come all.good place for grocery shopping
This is a nice store, as far as being clean and organized. Some of the other customers can be kind of rude and impatient while waiting in line. They don't even want to wait for the person in front of them to leave the checkout before they start unloading their own groceries, and the employees don't really seem to care, at least that's how it was the last time I went.
This store is consistently crowded from 3 to 7 pm. I would recommend to stay away during these times. Lines are super long. Cashiers are slower than average. Lines are between food aisles so if you happen to be looking for an item, you are trying to maneuver in between the folks waiting in line. They encourage social distancing but the layout of the store makes it a challenge. Great selection of items. However, the soda section was scarce. Unsure if the shipment was running behind or an influx of purchases during the holiday season. Attempted to be proactive and try the online curbside service, however that even had a 24 to 48 hour ordering queue so it would be highly unlikely if you want to purchase groceries and pick up on same day. Parking is decent. Employee is there at the front wiping carts and there is also sanitizer as well.
I know the aisles very well and always find what i am looking for at the same location. Don't forget to carry your Safeway card. Best is to load it onto your phone so that it's always with you.
Convenient Neighborhood Grocery Store Grape variety kind of pricey a time for different items but overall I think it's about competitive with the other supermarkets very clean employees could be a little more friendly
Cashiers are incompetent and unfriendly.
Checkout takes 20 minutes with 3 people in line. They always mess up simple transactions. Poor service and failure.
The store itself is fine, but the checkout lines are *always* backed up, often into the aisles, no matter what day or time of day I go. They really need to hire more cashiers and open more lanes for most shifts.
This is a very nice example of a Safeway. They have a cheese monger (!) who actually knows his stuff. They also have a pretty big selection of produce with a good amount of fresh organic stuff. I personally like all the ready-to-cook vegetables (cut and washed in store) that make my evening meals go alot quicker.
I just went there to use the restroom. It's supposed to be a clean because they are selling food items. Smelly. Their janitor should constantly cleaning it. Most of their customers especially in their area are professionals but some of them smells too so maybe they really don't care as long as it's kinda clean. It's a pricey store too. It's just a store for quick shopping.
This is a location I go to when I need groceries. The store is pretty clean. The staff are nice. There is a western union here and there is a Starbucks here too. Also its 24 hours
I don't really shop at Safeway anymore unless I absolutely need something I cannot find at either Sprouts or Trader Joe's up the street. This location is one of the better Safeways I've been to. I got in and out quickly, the produce section looked good, though prices are never what I'd like to see.
Selection was okay. Service in deli slow with only one attendant. Check-out was long and lacked personality.
I visited Safeway @11pm, pickup a few items. Their was over 10 people on checkout line when they opened the self checkout section.
Convenient, though a bit big. Good wine selection at reasonable prices. Checkout is friendly and mostly efficient.
Tried they new online order pick up n go they offered. Did not go well. I pulled up and called the number posted with no response so called the 800 number and they asked me to go inside and talk to customer service which took another twenty minutes. It defeated the whole purpose! Fruits were soft and mushy and the prices dramatically changed over night. Not sure if ill try this again.
It's fine. Large range of American staples. Friendly pharmacy. Meat and prices could be better.
