I Love Safeway I pick up my medicine from the pharmacy there also its not for from where I Live

This is not my favorite Safeway in the Bay Area. It has a small cheese section, no deli. Eggs are not all in one place. Produce not fresh. Everything is arranged weird. As I arrived in the store, I was told the electricity was out. I decided to shop anyway. It came on 10 minutes later and all customers were given a 10% discount.

This safeway had a ton of parking and has a pretty large interior space. I love the downstairs area when you walk out. Very friendly community area.

I'd originally tried to go to food max but of course they didn't have what I needed. So I still ended up at Safeway anyway. Their the only people that sell my fav ice cream

Wide variety of produce and food products, and rarely a line. Also there's a starbucks inside and several local coffee shops within the block. Parking lot on top of the store always has spaces, too. Accessible elevator.

They wouldn’t sell me alcohol even though I’m older than 21 and tried to provide 3 different forms of ID. Don’t go here to buy alcohol

Terrible customer service. I understand I’m in a college town, but if you’re going to say my ID is fake at least have legal reasoning behind it. Don’t just assume based on the way we look. ~sincerely a 24 and 25 year old.

I hate this store, it is so consistently bad. Seriously, go somewhere else if you can!

My most recent experience was outright humiliating. I will be going out of my way to avoid the disrespectful staff.

I remember the first time I went to Safeway in Berkeley it must've been either the 20th or 21st of July 1 or 2 days before my mom came back from Atlanta.and it was great, I had a shopping list of my Granddad's stuff and my stuff.my step father took me there and as soon as I went in there I got down to business.and when I tell you that I was on it I was really on it. I got everything on the list even my stuff, but I didn't get too much, because I felt like I didn't need all that stuff.because I was so busy getting all of my stuff for my granddad that I almost didn't even have time to go get my stuff.it was kinda hard to keep our stuff spaced out away from each other.anyway, my experience there was great by the way hopefully I'll get to comeback and shop more.

Great place to shop. The staff are friendly and helpful. Its a smaller shop to its a little harder to find things but all in all a great place to shop for groceries.

My experiences at the store with the employees and the quality of the products I have never been an issue for me. However, what is an issue is when I drive out of my way and online they say they're open until 2 a.m. And they are not. So would somebody kindly change the hours to the correct closing time? Perhaps these are the hours of covid-19, come on guys. Covid has been going on for a year-and-a-half now. I think that has given you ample time to post the correct hours. I don't know if you as employees notice, but even in just the five minutes or so I was outside taking pictures for this review, five or six people walked up to the doors to come to the same sad conclusion I had. I am not pleased! (And I'm not the only one!)

Consistently NOT open past 11 pm or 12. Got in late and wanted to grab some groceries for the next day. The store is not open until 2 am, they close much earlier it seems. Several other potential customers came up to the door and realized it too. Please correct the hours if it's not actually open that late. I've attempted to come here multiple times over the last few months at 11 or 12 and it's been closed. At first I assumed maybe it was closed early randomly but it seems consistent.

Safeway store it's at the corner of Claremont and College Avenue.it is several blocks away from the Rockridge BART station. There are stops for busses 51 and 79 nearby. The staff are friendly and the store is typically well-stocked. Is an organic section for fruits and vegetables as well as a bakery and deli on site. There are a number of self-checkout kiosks abs a Starbucks store inside. There are other small businesses in the area several coffee shops as well. This particular store has a small plaza with tables and chairs and several other areas and relax or hang out with friends. There are several good restaurants very close to this Safeway as well as a great bakery pet store. Lim8ted street parking is available as well as a parking lot is available above the store. Large elevators will bring you and your cart to and from the store.

It’s ok for a standard grocery store. Had awful fresh corn from there, and it’s never a pleasure to shop there, but it works.

Great service except the deli, be prepared for slowness and attitudes, I prefer the one on Broadway by the quarry, much better attitudes in the deli section foe the most part.

Love this Safeway many nice cashiers meat and deli staff stocking issues sometimes but this is my favorite Safeway location by Far! Highly recommend

Usually this store is well in stock and different varieties to choose from along with a lot of fresh produce that is why I travel a little distance from my place to come here plus it is close to a variety of bank's including a lot of boutiques and restaurant's.

Ugh. Shopping at any Safeway is a chore. Except for the people stocking shelves they are woefully understaffed. Long queues at the deli and checkout. Mostly average quality processed garbage takes most of the space. The workers seemed 'processed' as well. An un-happy place.
