I've been to a few pharmacies over the years and this is the first pharmacy team that has made me feel like they actually care. They've gone out of their way to communicate about updates on medications, are always friendly and kind, and work very hard. Be sure to check out the hours before you go pick up your meds though! They have a 45 minute (well deserved!) lunch break from 1pm to 1: 45 and if you don't know beforehand, that might be a little frustrating!

I love this pharmacy. They helped me change all my prescriptions from a different pharmacy, they have interacted with my doctors and have been nothing but helpful and nice to me. I am 87 and get confused sometimes and they are patient with me. I am so glad I made the change.
And I seldom have to wait.

I have never written a public review before but I can’t allow myself to be treated the way this pharmacist (not the staff) did and allow others to be subject to her unprofessional and inappropriate behavior. I was attempting to transfer our prescriptions to this location because our usual pharmacy is understaffed and has been having unpredictable hours and trouble filling prescriptions. This pharmacist answered my call with an angry tone of voice and raised her voice to me multiple times during this call while I was calm and asking questions. After I gave my kids names, dates of birth, and medications, she told me she would not be filling my children’s prescriptions because I was “jumping pharmacies” which would get her audited. I explained why we were transferring and she got mad at me and said “even if I thought you were telling the truth I won’t fill your kids prescriptions, we don’t have [one of the medications] in stock, and I won’t order it for you. ” I asked why she was upset with me and if I gave her a reason to be upset with me? She said she did not have time to argue with me about it. I was in no way looking for an argument, my voice was calm and honestly I was confused about why she was treating me this way. I was just asking for an explanation for why she was upset with me. I still don’t know why she treated me poorly, used an angry tone, and refused my family service. I asked what she recommend I do? She referred me to a pharmacy (not Safeway) on the other side of the city. I asked if she could recommend one in our area. She told me she didn’t have time for someone that was not her customer. I was not her customer because she refused to serve us and refused to explain why. She seemed overwhelmed and stressed out, which I can empathize with but treating people the way she did is unacceptable. I see in the reviews here that I am not the only one with a bad experience with her. So I’ll try not to take it personally. It’s sad. But I’ll save my self-respect and take my business elsewhere. I will no longer be a patron of Safeway or Safeway pharmacies.
