The hotel is excellent and affordable! First of all, the room is spacious, clean, and well-equipped with a kitchen and a king-sized bed. Honestly, the room size is even bigger than my little Brooklyn apartment, lol.

The common area is very cute and minimal, featuring a 24/7 hot spring. Don't forget to bring your swimsuit if you decide to stay here!

Only 25 minutes from Palm Springs, the Sagewater hotel was the just what I needed for a relaxing weekend away. The hotel is secluded, but offers beautiful views of the mountains and palms. The mineral pool was a stand out favorite. I loved how relaxing it was and to be able to move from the cool pool to the hot tub. The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and had beautiful views of the mountains. If you enjoy peace and relaxation this is the place for you! I will definitely be making a trip back soon.

Absolutely love this place! Hidden gem in Desert Hot Springs! Was invited for a weekend getaway with a group of friends. The rooms are fantastic. Great A/C, comfortable King size beds, kitchen with refrigerator, microwave. Some rooms have full-size refrigerators and stoves. Nicely decorated. Simple and tranquil. All rooms are just steps away from the MINERAL POOL! The pool itself is warm day/night since the water comes directly from the mineral well nearby. Next to the pool is a shaded patio with chairs and tables, plus lounge chairs poolside. The best part of our stay was the on-site Spa operated by lovely Kelly with Samata Wellness. An entire room devoted to spa and massage services you find anywhere else in town! It was truly an amazing and unique experience. I had the 60 min Sattva Relaxing massage. Several others in my group booked massages too. Kelly was lovely, polite, kind, and genuinely cared about your well being. Overall just a surprisingly great place. Hidden gem! Will be going again.

Best 24hrs of my life.
I went for a quick trip to the dessert hot springs with my friend and we stayed here. It was such an incredible experience from the warm welcome, beautiful room (kitchen, dining area, nice bathroom) + stunning views.
The property is so clean, quiet, and just the right size to have personal space. I was able to also get lots of work done with great wifi too!

The owner was incredible with recommendations for breakfast, lunch, happy hour and dinner. The sunrise/sunset alone with the view from this place is 10000% worth it. You won't regret this mini or longstay retreat.

I had a great stay at Sagewater, one of Desert Hot Spring's best secrets and my go-to getaway for restorative healing waters. The recent renovations have kept the kitsch factor intact while adding a minimalist mid century vibe that feels sophisticated and relaxed at the same time. The nearby Cabot Pueblo museum is a five minute walk and a must-see experience that explains the history and spiritual significance of the area. Highly recommend.

The Ultimate Self-Care Retreat with INSANE VIEWS!
The Sagewater Hotel is an absolutely GORGEOUS getaway, just a few miles from downtown Palm Springs, but so much prettier! From your location up in the hills of Desert Hot Springs sitting atop Miracle Hill, you can see all of Coachella Valley, making for the most insane sunrise and sunset dips in the incredibly healing mineral water pools onsite. The rooms are modern, decorated perfectly, and incredibly comfortable - the bed and pillows gave me the best sleep of my life! This is the perfect getaway if you're looking to relax and indulge in the ULTIMATE SELF CARE EXPERIENCE.

Rooms were comfortable and affordable. Being walking distance to the hot spring pool and jacuzzi was the best part. Perfect temperatures as well, this place is very quiet and never crowded!

The Sagewater is the perfect place to rest and unwind in the mineral pools. My gf and I stayed in a room with a view of the mountains which was awesome to wake up to. Even though the hotel was full, everyone was really respectful to keep the atmosphere tranquil for others. Looking forward to staying again on my next trip!
The room was nice and the bed and bed frame seemed brand new. I like staying in small hotels that offer personal touches of decor that you will never find in a chain hotel.

This was the perfect place to unwind and relax! This place is truly special and well kept. Our room was spotless and the entire ambiance was so mellow. The water in the pools was so pure and didn’t give off the typical chlorine smell that’s associated with most pools. I was pleasantly surprised by this but I guess that makes sense since it’s fed by a natural hot spring. Sagewater is a hidden gem in the desert and I can’t wait to come back and make this into a yearly tradition

Repeat visitor, stayed for a month between houses, brought family there— my home-away from home! Other repeat visitors I meet there say the same thing: Sagewater is refreshingly simple, basic, clean, friendly, cute, genuine. No fancy angle or “spa” culture imposed upon you… just the mineral waters, 50’s vibe, friendly people, and a soft-spoken, highly skilled massage therapist if you want that (I recommend the Ayabangha (sp) followed by a steam bath). I’ve made three long-lasting friends at Sagewater and will always hold it dear to my heart.

The description for this hotel states that it’s luxurious and breath-taking which couldn’t be farther from the truth. The paint doesn’t cover the repair work that was done on many of the walls. The shower has the original 1960’s tub and fixtures. The bathroom has a small shelf but no counter space. Unless one person is in the shower, two people don’t fit in the bathroom, and there aren’t even any tissues to be found.
The windows are also original to the building. There was no fan in the bathroom, and the window didn’t work properly to open to get rid of the shower steam.
The hotel could be a cute retro hotel, if there was better attention to detail, but in many ways it just feels old.
There is only a phone number if you need anything. There was no sign of the owner or any other staff.
The pluses of the hotel were that it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. It is also in a very quiet location, and the pool was very peaceful.

I Stayed here in the beginning of January and had a wonderful experience. The energy and design of the space combined with the blissful stillness of the desert made for an excellent retreat. The hot spring-fed pool and hot tub on the property were so regenerative to float in during the days in the sun or in the cool evenings under the stars. I'm definitely looking forward to my next return to Sagewater soon.

An amazingly relaxing and beautiful experience. The room are incredibly clean, minimal aesthetic and extremely good energy. I loved having a kitchen full with a full fridge and some room to cook. THE BEST part was definitely the hot spring water in the pool. It's the best water I've ever been in – better than Two Bunch Palms – and a total steal for the price. Will be back again and again and again. Magical place.

I NEEDED Nature Sunshine Relaxation Fun & Inspiration. SageWaterSpa: Nailed It! A 7-Unit Hotel surrounded by cacti with a mountain range as its back drop has mid-century modern decor that welcomes you with classically simple style and very comfortable beds. My highlights *quiet moments staring at the snow-capped mountain range poolside or while enjoying the luxurious warmth of mineral water fed by the hot springs *star gazing during relaxing night-time dips in the pool *fabulous by appointment On-site Massage *making morning tea conveniently in our kitchenette (hey tea drinkers: how often, while on vacation, are we provided a kettle?). Scott, the owner, will assist with Massage Appointments and/or a Reading (Tarot Cards) should you desire. Very short walk (at either end of the street) local history: Cabot’s Pueblo Museum and cafe: Azure Hotel.

Stayed 4 nights here with a friend. The rooms were cute and we loved the mid century look. The location is private and all the rooms are situated around the mineral pool…which is the main reason people come to desert hot springs. The mineral water made our skin so soft and we loved looking at the night sky from the pool. Only downside is there are limited places to eat in the area. Make the quick drive to Palm Springs or bring food and a great book and just relax.

The Sagewater Spa is a hidden gem in the heart of Desert Hot Springs. The natural hot spring water that feeds the pool and hot tub were incredibly healing, i think i spent more time in the water than out! The mid century modern vibes were peaceful and elegant. For those that are tired of the Airbnbs in Joshua Tree and Palm Springs this is the place for you!

Stayed here in November when it was a little cooler out and absolutely loved the hot spring pool & hot tub, especially at night! Looking up at the stars while floating in the warm water was so relaxing and enjoyable. The rooms were clean and very cute. Overall, this place has a great vibe.

Just stayed here for a long weekend and had a really great experience. It was my first time in Desert Hot Springs, I loved the intimate atmosphere and soaking in the hot spring water. The rooms were really nice, even down to the cool retro appliances! Took a day trip to explore Joshua Tree and really enjoyed taking in the national park and the cute shops! I also highly recommend visiting the Red Dog Saloon in Pioneertown! If you’re looking for an easy, low-key refuge that’s a short drive from LA, look no further!
