Sahara Taste of the Middle East reviews
33I wish this place wasn't so far from me! Great food, decent area, and lovely interior. Booths available. The staff was very friendly and even made sure I knew what I ordered had garlic just in case (:
Our first time eating Middle Eastern food and we enjoyed it. Especially the juicy chicken and beef kebabs. The salads were amazing, too. We went at a peak time and it was noisy-lots of families with toddlers. But it was a nice experience and introduction to a new cuisine.
Love this place! It has such a variety of Middle eastern food. I was lucky enough to have this place cater my baby shower and all of the guests raved about it. I'm vegetarian and I was pleasantly surprised to see how much vegan/vegetarian food was on the menu. Still thinking about their homemade hummus.
First of all, they have a very bad customer service because I did an order by a phone and they didn't prepare it for me at the exact, they told me to wait 15 minutes more. Secondly, I ordered a chicken Shawarma Sandwich what I found inside it is a peace of chicken skin which is disgusting.
We are frequent visitors to this place. All of their food is super tasty and good quality. The flavors are rich and the prices are more than fair. You can get two pita bread sandwiches for $6 which my husband and I have had for dinner on more than a few occasions. Their flat bread pizzas are delicious. Dinner combos are often enough food for dinner and lunch the next day. We love it!
NO. NO. NO
I don't recommend his restaurant!
1) very bad service (you have to bring your nakedness! You have to bring your spoons! You have to go and ask! They don't care.
2) When you go to a restaurant at least you want to get a smile or at least a good food. Believe me you are going to a bank and the manager is trying to rob your money.
3) the food doesn't test like before. The quality of the food test bad and old
4) if you tell them the order is wrong (lol) or you guys made a mistake (lol)
They will look at you in away in a bad way, than they will smile at you, after all they will tell you don't do it again (like you maid a crime)
5) there is a manger she is the worse manger I saw her in my life. She is tall dark skin little fat she looks Hispanic. This manager gave me and my family hard time. I don't know why they are keeping her?
I wish if the owner can see my letter. It's especially for him and generally for people who they are Deceived by this restaurant unfortunately
Note:
I swear on each word I said
Place is always so delicious and the customer service is great, staff is super friendly and courteous.
For El Cajon is ok but it’s not good. Salads are limp, hummus is too dry, falafels over cooked, bAba gonuche was pitiful. Nice staff sub par food. Akin to dominos pizzA to a New York pizzA. Go to Westwood in Los Angeles and you will notice the difference. I’ll never go back and have been there 4 times. Always mediocre.
One of the best middle eastern places I have eaten at. Had a delicious beet salad with an excellent lamb over rice. So delicious.
We love Sahara. Very delicious, authentic Mediterranean food in a clean, attractive atmosphere. And, the staff is great!
This place is amazing! Food is delectable. My only thing is it's a little bit pricy other than that it's worth coming to.
Great place, awesome food, nice service, and wonderful choices.but the title is misleading it's not a Middle Eastern restaurant as much as it is American-Middle Eastern fast food, which is FINE just don't expect authentic Middle Eastern food.
My first visit to this restaurant Deli I got the Greek salad and Dolmas. Everything was great. Their prices are so reasonable and the selection of Middle Eastern entrees is wonderful. I'm looking forward to going back again and again to try every one of their dishes. I can honestly say that the Greek dolmas are some of the best that I've tasted. Just the right combination are stuffing and olive oil with garlic. Sorry Luna Grill yours can't compare.
