4 My church as a young girl. First Communion & Confirmation completed here. Returned after a few years away, it's a great church community. God Bless the Padres, deacons & parishioners. Amen

My family here sometimes come here to attend church we pay our respects here it's great the Preacher reading the Bible and preaching the Bible its great
I felt a strong need for the Sacrament of Penance last evening. Drive to Fresno from an hour away as no local Catholic parishes offer the Sacrament on Wednesday's; the priests at St. Joachim's in Madera were away. I checked diocesan website and saw St. Alphonsus's has the Sacrament and a Mass on Wednesday evenings. God always has a plan. The church itself is gorgeous as all "old" Catholic churches are. The priest, Fr. Oscar took the time to listen and actually talked to me for a a few minutes, offering 3 helpful suggestions to "avoid" certain things leading to sin. This Sacraments is so needed to feel reconciled to God. Thank you Father. The Mass was very nice, English. An older priest prayed it with joy and reverence. Unfortunately, due to his thick Spanish accent and sound system I couldn't understand much of his homily. When he had to remove his mic (battery died?) and use hand held one, I could understand him (different speakers?) But I'll definitely keep St. Alphonsus in mind for Sacrament of Penance.
