Saks OFF 5TH, Palm Desert CA

It’s a hit or miss. We shop here sometimes and online (preferably). Given it’s the only one, you’d think customer service would be friendly. I like to walk-in but sometimes but the staff can be rude. It’s a shame to shop at a store where rude staff (not all) work. I just bite my lip and think, “This item will look cute on me after I leave this place. ”.

I really like this store. I'm surprised at some of the reviews. This Palm Desert Saks Off 5th has replaced Nordstrom Rack as my go-to designer discount store for fun clothes. I have always found the staff members here to be pleasant. (However, the salespeople are sometimes not so pleasant at the "real" Saks in a Palm Desert.)

Lovely staff at this Saks OFF 5TH location in Palm Desert. Many gems in terms of shoes, jewelry, sunglasses, and fragrances at discounted prices. Customer service is helpful and accommodating.
This is one of my favorite stores to shop.

Without question the worst bunch of liars and thieves I've ever done business with. Never buy form them. There is not enough paper and or print in the world to fully describe this despicable wing of the Canadian holding co. HBC!

Very very disappointed with the customer service in this particular store. We shop here often, and let me tell you. We have never had a pleasant shopping experience. We have spends A LOT of money in this store. Our last visit was the last draw. I had my kids and hubby with me… I get that it’s the holiday season and maybe the staff are extra vigilant as far as shoplifters and stuff. From the moment we walked in, we were followed around the store. I have an infant so, of course had to take a bathroom break, to my luck well we were being followed so getting into the restroom was easy (they unlock for you) but as soon as we left the restroom, again kept being asked if everything was ok, me politely, yes, thank you! Didn’t think anything of it. But this staff member kept following me around the store, I did grab a sweater, I walked over to the wallets, that are right by the entrance, because that’s where they are. Same staff member, still behind me. At this point I’m already annoyed, my hubby is aware, my 11 year old daughter is also questioning why he keeps asking if we need help. I get really annoyed… as I’m looking at the wallets, he asks, do you need help, I say no thank you, I do not need help, he then asks, do you need a bag? NO, I do not need a bag, Would you like a CART? NO I WOULD NOT LIKE A CART… I look him dead in the eyes and tell him “ let me go pay for this, because you obviously think that I’m trying to steal it” he just smirks and goes to stand next to the register and is just looking at me. To his surprise, not only do we have an account there, we also have lots of rewards available because, yeah, we do shop here often. But he continued on to walk us out of the store.
This is not the first time this happens here. It’s very very disappointing that we are in 2022 and people still have not learned to humble themselves down. Will never be going to that store again!

This is an awesome store Great selection of merchandise. The men's department offered anything you may need. Fair prices on many things. Not cheap but cheaper then Saks 5th Ave. Staff was helpful and polite. Found myself a very cool pair of Diesel boots I'm happy no complaints here. Daniel Bell

It's been a tough year on this store. They used to have a lot more merchandise to choose from. I liked the shoe department they had great brands but lately, the products look used and returned.

I will NEVER shop here again. Yes, I made a mistake when I tried on an poncho (I thought the fitting rooms were closed because of the social distancing!) and not only was the employee rude when telling me I couldn't, she then called her manager and then SHE came storming over. When I tried to explain that it was my mistake and how I misunderstood, she just talked over me and then stormed away! I was MORTIFIED!

Some great clothes at a good discount. Bought a beautiful blouse for $93 and originally was $300. Staff was helpful.

Didnt like that they wouldn't let u try on the clothes even tho they gave you 90 days to return it.

The choice of garments and shoes is very good. The prices attractive. However I noticed that the garments are not treated with due care.
