Sakura Sushi reviews
20Waitress had a cabbage patch kids shirt with red eyes and pentagrams. I won't be coming back. Jesus is Lord
Awesome sushi selection. We have gone to this restaurant several times, and every experience was great. Every dish freshly made and beautifully presented. Staff are always friendly, genuine, and knowledgeable. Sakura is without question in our “Top 3” restaurants overall in the Temecula and Murietta area.
Koko no tabemono wa oishikunai!
Being from Guam where fresh Japanese ingredients are flown in and having visited and worked Japan itself many times, my review may be considered a bit biased. But simple staples aren’t hard to achieve. First the ramen noodles aren’t fresh. They are more of the instant variety. The tonkatsu broth is not an actual tonkatsu broth. It was oddly sweet with no other flavors common with tonkatsu. It was served with a rubbery pale chashu and a plain boiled egg instead of a shoyu tomago (soy sauce egg).
The sushi wasn’t anything to brag about but then again that’s typical for sushi in California in general. It isn’t reminiscent of Japanese sushi at all.
Lastly the takoyaki a was a mushy undercooked mess and just slathered with an overly sweet teriyaki sauce that seemed to serve the purpose of camouflage rather than a flavor enhancer. It definitely was not takoyaki sauce made famous by Otafuku or similar.
I’m thoroughly disappointed in this restaurant and will remain on the hunt for a suitable Japanese restaurant. I’m not expecting perfection but at least come close especially with the basics.
Food came out to expectations, service is nice, and atomsphere decent. Overall not a bad place. Their happy hour deals are pretty nice!
Beautiful Sushi restaurant! Came here during happy hour and was very impressed It had a few other families eating and the service was quick food came out fast and it was so amazing! Definitely will be returning. Come and try it out for yourself.
DELICIOUS! This place was amazing, big rolls fresh fish! If I'm California again I'm for sure going!
Atmosphere great.
Service good.
Food was a bit disappointing.
It caan be a very competitive spot
First time here the other night. Lovely establishment and great service! I ordered a green monster (veggie) roll and an Alaskan Roll (salmon)
The rolls were both pretty good. There are quite a few veggie roll options here. Would love to try the other veggie rolls next time, for sure. My family enjoyed their rolls as well. Would definitely recommend it.
My brother and I came in for a lunch and to escape the heat. He had the sushi burrito which he said was good and I ordered the spicy ramen pork chashu. The presentation of the ramen looked good, however to my surprise, I noticed I payed a premium for store bought packaged noodles (I can taste the powdered packet). That's $17 for a ramen I could've made at home for under five bucks.
I guess Sakura got new management. Everything about the place is much better than last year.
We were quite pleased, impressed over the many Sushi places we've been, Sakura has them beat
Great food. Stressed out wait staff. Hire more. Kinda bland atmosphere, but you go for the amazing array of sushi and non-sushi fare. Prices are high but that is how things are now.
I really wanted to like this place because it's decorated so nicely but upon arriving, the service was so so strange. Our waitress was extremely quiet, would whisper her words and then walk away without saying anything more, seemingly out of nowhere in the middle of taking our order. I had to lean in to hear her, I'm 25 and have no hearing issues. It was extremely bizarre. The food was okay, I will say the mango drops were delicious but seeing as that was a special, it makes sense they'd put more attention into it. The rest of the food was just okay. Again, I really wanted to like this place but the whole experience was just kind of strange for me.
This is the first time I've been here. When in the afternoon on a Monday, only one other customer was there which made the service fast. There was nothing special tasting when it came to the sushi. I like to order spicy sushi and I tasted no spice unfortunately. I was not impressed. I like to give places 3 tries before I decide to not go back. So for this first try it's good food just not impressing. Sweet friendly people. Clean atmosphere. Pleasant settings
Just found this little gem! We loved the ambiance of the cheery blossom trees and the lights! The service was excellent and the dinner plate was so good! The teriyaki salmon was amazing and it came with soup, salad, rice, and tempura veggies. Looking forward to going back!
This is my favorite sushi spot in Temecula! I've come here a couple of times now and I love it!
The food is delicious—seriously fire and probably the best in the area
The cherry trees & starry lights are so pretty and give such a chill vibe
The servers & sushi chefs are always kind and accommodating
Easy five stars—check it out!
Just came back from Okinawa japan and fell in love with sushi. While looking for a good spot in Temecula, i recently came across this gem. The food is delicious, sushi is fresh and the service is outstanding. Second to none when it comes to sushi in Temecula!
Careful a dish was mistakenly served to our party which was partially eaten and pulled away. Was concerned they would resell it to others. Was told they would trash it or charge us if we finished it.
Interesting how our waitress sent another to finish the tab while still working. Regardless the sushi tender was superb.
We went during Happy Hour and tried 3 items. Lion King Roll, Crunch Roll, and Spicy Garlic Edamame. Each item was definitely made with precision and care. The food was excellent! We really like the atmosphere! The trees inside, the flowers wrapped near the lights, and the comfortable booths will make you want to stay and relax! We liked that if you sit at the bar or on the bar side of the trees you could choose from multiple screens of what you would like to watch. They had a cartoon, a movie, sports, and news.something for everyone! We can't wait to go back and try more delicious food!
Food was decent, but the manager is not. Six TV’s and they would not put the second baseball game on one of them. Won’t be back, zero customer service.
