The salon is beautiful on the inside and very upscale, The staff were all very kind!
I went in not really knowing what I wanted but Alice gave me a great cut and I'm super happy! I will definitely be going back! Thanks So Much!

I LOVE Yoo. I've been going to her since 2013, and even after I've moved countries twice. I make sure to get an appointment with her every time I visit family in RC. I haven't met another hairdresser who cuts and styles as well as she does even though I've seen a handful of stylists in Hong Kong and Australia.

I saw her this past week to get my hair cut while visiting the US for Thanksgiving and of course I was super happy with my cut. I'm one of those people who doesn't really have something in mind when I come to the salon and just want a trim. I originally started with 2 inch trim, but Yoo said she could do a better style if I cut 4 inches (I have really long hair). I agreed and told her to cut to a length she thought would be best and would give me the best hairstyle. While cutting, she also said, "Maybe let's give you a little different style" as I mentioned I've been tying up a lot lately since it's summer in Australia currently.

I absolutely love that Yoo takes the initiative to recommend what would be best for me. She has a really great style and knows what works for my face shape and hair type. She'll take the time to explain if a hairstyle won't look good or tweak hairstyle inspirations so it works with my hair type. I trust her completely with my hair and I've always absolutely loved all my cuts from Yoo. I'm so sad I don't live closer to her, but waiting to get my hair cut from her once a year when I visit home has been working these several years and so worth it.

Decided to try them out to see if they can execute my son's preferred hair cut. He is so done with comb-overs and just like half of his high school-aged peers, he wanted a somewhat messy, "curtain banged" do. Well that was exactly what he got at Salon Yoo! They prefer for clients to make an appointment (as they should). The place is minimalist and immaculate. The stylists are very friendly and very professional. They know their stuff and meticulously check on their work to make sure their client leaves happy.

Clean environment

Didn’t have to make appointments (walk in was available)

Cons:
For price of $45…. I felt it was too much men’s haircut with this quality (my haircut wasn’t great, many people asked if I did haircut myself)

No hair-wash unlike every other korean haircut places in Los Angeles Area

There was a reason why walk-in was available…

Even other hair designers were like wth is wrong with that hair.

Employees were welcoming and friendly but I did not like how my hair came out

The staff are very kind and good at their jobs. Environment is nice as well. John paid a lot of attention to the details and was very accommodating. Highly recommend coming here again.
