Provided fine service when I had my exam but now is breaking HIPPA laws by refusing to provide me with my personal medical records.

My first visit to Salt today. Couldn’t be more impressed with the experience and the employees. Needed to update my prescription for glasses and contacts today. Met with Dr. Semino and let me tell you it was the best optometrist visit I’ve had in my 55 years. She was professional and made the exam process easy. She was attentive and asked relevant questions about my optical history. She made me feel at ease. My Optician Ryan Kerr went above and beyond to show me frame after frame and share with me his thoughts on what might be the perfect frames and lenses for my needs. He had such a wealth of knowledge when it came to what would work best with my face structure and lifestyle. The store itself was inviting and spotless with so many frame options to choose from. Would highly recommend Salt to anyone that wants a great experience who needs prescription glasses, contacts, or sunglasses. Thank you Dr. Semino and Ryan

I had a sudden-yet-serious concern about my eyes and the team at Salt and Dr. Cara Semino got me in FAST and helped me with care and concern. As a Newport local in I have plenty of places to go for eye care in south county, but I knew they had the latest equipment and technology and I was pretty impressed with the new design and feel of the space. I grew up going to Ziggy's here and (yes) we still refer to it as Ziggy's, but this is a total upgrade for our small city and brings a big lift to our already high standards.

The staff is efficient, professional and very helpful. I never felt rushed. They’re very thorough. The office space has a beautiful relaxing feel to it.

This is a very professional and a very caring Optometry. Dr. Semino and her assistants Ryan and Tommy are great people and they surpassed my expectations. Dr. Semino quickly diagnosed my problem and went out of her way to handle it on the same day. Then she called me the next morning to make sure that I am allright! I can not thank her enough! I very strongly recommend SALT Optometry to every one!

The Absolute BEST experience I have ever had at an eye doctor appointment! I used to be deathly afraid of the dreaded "air puff" thing that I thought they had to do. Dr. Cara Semino has a much non-intrusive approach that is so much easier to deal with. It's not a big deal at all, I could barely even feel it. I am extremely grateful for the staff there. Ryan took my initial call, I explained to him that my insurance was about to lapse. (I just got hired at a new place of employment,) that I needed to be seen ASAP.he worked his magic and got me in the next day! Tommy who works at front desk helped me pick a pair of glasses. I chose his first Pick and only spent less than 5 minutes deciding. Best experience ever. Again, Dr. Semino is the only Optometrist that I would ever recommend. She is so kind and knowledgeable and you can tell she truly cares! What a wonderful experience!:)

I had a full eye exam here recently, I could not be more impressed with Dr. Semino! Additionally, the staff here was also very welcoming. Dr. Semino is certainly very knowledgeable, I left with a much better understanding of how my prescription works and what I need to do to take the best care of my eyes. Dr. Semino was genuinely engaged throughout my time there and when I had questions she was informative and was more than able to explain in terms I could understand. After I told my family to go here my parents got their prescriptions updated by Dr. Semino and they’re just as happy as I am with the care they’ve received. You don’t have to look any further for your optometrist, Dr. Semino is the best!

I love coming to see Dr. Chen, Rene and Jose. They reminded me this last visit that it’s been TEN YEARS! Everyone is so friendly and genuinely concerned about you as a patient. They also have an excellent selection of frames! To 10 more years!:)

This was THE BEST EXPERIENCE I’ve had with a new physician. I felt immediately at ease with the entire staff, and they made me feel as if I’ve been going to them for years. The office was super clean, bright, friendly and felt warm and inviting. They are doing a wonderful job maintaining cleanliness, spacing appointments, checking temps and wearing masks. I can not say enough amazing things about this practice, and I will continue to come here for years and recommend them to everyone I know! Thanks for the fantastic experience! They also have a great selection of frames and sunglasses. Do yourself a favor and make Ziggy’s Optometry your go to for your eyes health!

I've had eye exams at many places over the years but this was by far the most thorough exam that was extremely accurate. I got right in at my appointment time. They were very careful with cleanliness and Covid precautions so I felt completely safe. Very nice people here. Will refer everyone I know to come here it is the best.

Dr. Chen and her staff are great! I actually look forward to my annual eye exam and picking up some new glasses afterward.
