Cant give a fair rating, as we really just needed a place to pull over and sleep for a few hours. Had porta potty. Views were beautiful, and it was pretty great to wake up to the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach. We didnt spend much time here, as it was windy and cold in the early morning hours. Would like to revisit when we have more time.

Day use or camping, this small park is excellent. We have camped in the ocean side campground and had a pleasant stay. The RV spots are small so care is needed in backing into some sites. The camping is close to the highway so there can be some noise but a walk down to the ocean bluffs solves that problem. The trails are well maintained and the scenery near the ocean is excellent.

Campsites on both the beach and mountain sides of coast hwy. Spacious and well laid out sites, including several concrete parking sites for disabled peeps. Super clean flush toilet facilities. Except for 1 outdoor shower by the restrooms in the day-use area, there are NO shower facilities. The coastline view is breathtaking and worth taking in for hours!

Beautiful state park. A nice less than 1/2 mile hike on shoreline. Nice tide pools. Cost 8 bucks for day use and not crowded at all. Easy to social distance

Lovely, lovely, lovely. This kind of state park is reason enough to move to California. Tide pools full of sea anemones, campgrounds full of eucalyptus trees, skies full of stars.

Very Beautiful Area. Take lunch and a couple chairs and enjoy the view. Many spots along the coast to choose from. Very scenic drive down Highway 1. Many Farms along the coast. April has bright green pastures and Sun to go with it. Makes a great day trip or weekend getaway. Have Fun and relax.

Beautiful coastal park along the northern CA shoreline. Hiking trails along the coast provide great views and trails up the mountain allow walk in the forest.

If you're a tide pool lover then Salt Point is a great spot to check out. Get wet, or not, it's your choice. Either way you'll experience mother nature's beautiful coastline and ocean creatures. There is a day use fee, camping and restrooms and changing rooms at the tip of Salt Point.

Close to the ocean, about 1/4 mile. Good for kid. Bathrooms. Campsites get real windy from around noon to 5pm. Easy walk to a sandy beach

Foraging for mushrooms. Beautiful park and one of the few that allows you to pick wild mushrooms.

Pretty area. Bit of a longer trek to the beach than I'd like it to be but still a nice area. Large campgrounds spaces.

I used to come here all the time, and it was great. Sadly, due to lack of funding it has taken a major dive. The 2 campgrounds have port-a-potties because their bathrooms cant be maintained or something like that. But they are amazing campgrounds. Stump beach has a falling down, unlockable bathroom. Fisk mill has 2 bathrooms that are locked and out of service, with no other options. There are no garbages at fisk mill either, and the foliage goes unmaintained. Its sad to see it go this way.

Highly recommend, this is a historic site of battles with the British back in the day. It is a beautiful park in it's own right but according to a guy we met there apparently an official, we were told to keep on the paved pathway even though it's surrounded by a forest area and lots of grassland. I can understand that they probably want to keep people from straying or damaging the other areas of historical significance. There is a tower at the top and various structures around that have placards describing their role with other information. A must see for any history buffs or even general interest.
