Sam's BBQ & Grill, Castaic CA

I called to see if they have barbeque, she said no. I asked what they have and she couldnt answer and put me on hold twice. I ended up hanging up.

The guy preparing my food told me to tell him what I think lol
Fish tacos were amazing
Steak tacos were also good

Dreamy excellent surprisingly delicious ribs!

Locals eat here in a steady trickle of takeout. Always a good sign ;)

NOTE: hard to find - DON’T LOOK FOR SAM’S - that’s the name of this tiny counter walk up joint with both Mexican and bbq, but right now there’s NO SIGN FOR SAM’S — just look for the GAS STATION and the small attached Bldg with: CASTAIC FOOD DELI in res letters.

As others have said, the bbq beef n pork are scrumptious. 5 stars from this NY LA and SF living food buff.

My head was spinning eating it at tiny outdoor tables in the warm california sun. Loads of good meat in the ribs too. I hate fat (texture), n the bbq sauce is a great balance, not sickly sweet.

You’ll see the smoker just out front. Semi trucks all around fueling up. It’s not pretty, but damn it’s TASTY!

Awsome BBQ very reasonably priced excellent service and staff. If you are in the Castiac CA area highly recommend stopping by.

We drove right past it, and almost end up at a franchise restaurant but we decided to go back, which I'm glad we did, the customer service was awesome friendly, kind, and informative. Ordered the brisket with rice and potato salad, the bbq sauce is the bomb, and the brisket could not be any better. Definitely I will come back when I'm in the area. Hands down to chef Robert!

They serve both Mexican and American food, I've been here a few times it's always good. Staff are very helpful and nice, especially Shelly.

Amazing BBQ Ribs and Steak Carne Asada Tacos! Had these guys for lunch, me and a buddy and wow this place is damn good! Would definitely make the trip over to eat here again.
