Sam's Cable Car Lounge

Looked for a non busy place to watch the Niners playoffs & had the greatest time there. Sam, the owner is the friendliest. Place is small but was a perfect atmosphere to enjoy the game.

Compulsory 20% service charge despite the expensive drinks. This place is kinda okay but it's a rip off. 4 IPAs eventually costs me 50dollars.

4 bud light $46 that is crazy. They are not even nice. Not a spot to stop on your walk if your thirsty

This is a solid joint to meet up at near Union square. But it's pricey. So don't expect to spend the whole evening there unless you have an expense account.

Nice bar and unique curation of about 30or so cigars, I was dumbfounded walking in there with a lit cigar and getting gfawed response from waiter that I had misinterpreted the name of the shop, rudely interrupting my question" can I smoke here" with a kurt, "outside! ", Nice place, but not cigar friendly. Think I will dub a correction in spelling to their signage in neon, to "whine bar". Bummer. Don't blame this part of the state for a fear of fire. Looking for lounges in this area proved to be a tall order to fill.

Strong drinks which are good. Attitude behind the bar, no smiles. Tourist central if you’re into that.

Go to bar when I visit SF. Great place to get together with friends. Big enough to spread out with bar seating, stand up tables, and sit down tables. They make great cocktails and have a wine cellar full of a-z $‐$$$$.

Awful and aggressive service to boot. Bar Tender asked to cash me out as soon my food was delivered. Kept pestering me to leave a tip on top of the 20% they automatically add to the bill.

Very dishonest place! Be aware that on top of the total amount you will be charged 20% extra. Our bill was $77 in total, already including taxes yet next day when I checked my Travel Money account I noticed that they took $92! Nowhere on the bill it was written that the total amount deducted will be this much.not even Hard Rock Cafe does this.extremely disappointed! Stay away!

A tourist spot. The prices are high but the food is good and the staff is friendly and professional. Despite the high prices, I would go back.

Went there with my daughter and future son in law between all of us we only had 1 order of mozzarella sticks (5) and my future son in law had 2 coronas and my daughter had 2 bud lights our bill was $87.00!

Great staff, great drinks, but over priced canned Progresso soup $8.95 and Tortinos pizza with lunch meat on top $27.95. Don't forget party of one 20% added in to every bill.

$9.75 draft for Anchor Steam plus 20% service charge added to the bill. Well above average pricing for other bars ($7) in the same area of the city. Good music and location.

Crazy high prices and some worker had the audacity to ask me to not lean my foot on a chair. Literally came over and asked me to remove my foot. What is this, a kindergarten bar? Who are you, my mother? All around strange and not enjoyable. Drinks were almost ok, but nothing worth writing home about.
Won’t be back.

Lively bar on Powell Avenue near the cable car where there are lots of tourists. Get a drink near Union Square with a cigar shop on premise.the bartenders are really friendly but the price is quite High.a pint of beer averages 9 to $10 so this is not a place where you will find good deals.this evening was decorated with flags of different countries due to the World Cup which is a welcoming environment for foreigners.

Cool little spot. Great vibe bartender were quick on making drinks. The door man was pretty hilarious guy. Great selection of liquor, cocktails and ready for this one cigars. They offer fine cigars. Definitely would return.

Good bar but they charge you service fee on your tab and no other bar charges u that. Also their prices are ridiculous high

Wandered in here on a Saturday night. Nothing particularly great about this place except for its' location. My buddy and I were just looking for a bar that served beer. This bar satisfied that requirement. Oh, and it also has a bathroom too so that's a plus.
