I take the beginner adult class. It is absolutely amazing. I feel safe that what they teach is not going to cause me any injuries. The teacher is excellent, very knowledgeable and gives equal attention to all. I wouldn't go anywhere else.love this school, the teacher, the management, the positive vibe.you definitely feel it.

We love SDAB! Both my daughters attend the academy and we love it. After 3 ballet studios in 4 years we have spent the last 4 years at SDAB. Both of my daughters have excelled in this studio where talented dancers double as strong instructors. They inspire strength, resilience, and positive affirmation in my daughters, all the while teaching the beautiful art of ballet. Sylvia has always welcomed our family since day one. Simone is a talented, hard working director who always keeps our daughters best interests at heart, and pushes them to believe in their greatness as dancers. Classes with Brian, Lorie, Ashley, Olivia and Hannah are the highlights of our daughters week. Between shows and classes we spend many hours at the studio and it feels like a second home. We love SDAB and it will be our forever ballet studio.

As a former classical ballet dancer that trained in Puerto Rico, Cuba, New York City and Washington DC, I can recognize excellent training when I see it.

My 3-year old son loved the Grown Up and Me class. It served as a fantastic introduction to dance. He is looking forward to trying the all boys superhero class offered at SDAB in the future.

As a former professional dancer, SDAB is my studio of choice for quality classes for adults. While I was dancing professionally I would come to SDAB to supplement my training and have continued to come to keep my technique strong. The quality of training for adult classes is like no other and has helped me to keep growing as a dancer. Adult classes are challenging while being encouraging and supportive. The studios and instructors are amazing, can’t recommend them enough!

I am a parent of an athletic boy and this studio has been amazing for building his strength, agility, and athletic skill. I enrolled our son at SDAB on the recommendation of an athletic coach and the training has paid off! Our son is both physically and mentally stronger from the training. The classes are taught by engaging instructors with significant dance experience. The Saturday morning all-boys Super Hero class is the highlight of our family’s week. Our son gladly skips weekend cartoons and birthday parties just so he can attend. As a plus, the staff is always a pleasure to work with. I cannot recommend the San Diego Academy of Ballet highly enough, especially for boys seeking a full-body athletic experience.

When I moved home to San Diego 5 years ago, it took me awhile to locate a classical ballet school that offered professional level classes for adults. I was thrilled to find San Diego Academy of Ballet - they offer adult classes by experienced instructors at a variety of times and levels in a beautiful and spacious facility. I truly enjoy being challenged by Sylvia's classes but what I wasn't expecting from my SDAB experience was the camaraderie I gained. It is *SO* refreshing to be able to take ballet classes as an adult in an environment that takes its adult students seriously while also being encouraging and supportive. Now my fellow dancers and the SDAB team are like family - SDAB is my happy place and feels like home!:)

My daughter has been attending SDAB for a year and a half and has grown so much as a dancer. All of the teachers are great and very professional. Ms Ashley is amazing with our daughter and has helped her confidence in her ballet skills. Ms Simone, the director, is really friendly and welcoming and makes sure everyone (students and parents) is doing okay.
My daughter is very starstruck by Ms Lori and Mr Marshall who never fail to give her a hug when she asks for them.
We are very happy with having our daughter in this ballet school.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this studio.

My 5 year old daughter started at SDAB a year ago in Pre-Ballet and shortly after moved up to Ballet 1 and is obsessed. She was getting bored in gymnastics and we wanted to find a sport that would challenge her more. We met with Simone and immediately knew this studio was somewhere she would thrive. Ballet has become her entire life and she idolizes the older dancers and all the instructors at the studio. She focuses better at school now, and she is constantly striving to be a better person not just a better dancer because this studio teaches her a healthy philosophy, not just how to dance. She dances while she walks everywhere we go now. Whether it be the mall, the grocery store, you name it, she dances down the isles and I love how her confidence, determination, and spirit has grown over the past year. We are very excited for our first nutcracker season!

My 3 year old son has been in pre-ballet classes for a few months now and we were hesitant to sign him up because he’s such a ‘boys boy’ he is feral and huge and clumsy and my goodness how it has changed his coordination! He’s neurodivergent with a speech delay and struggles in a school setting but this studio has helped him thrive in ways we couldn’t imagine. He looks forward to every class, focuses and works during class, and sits and observes the older dancers in between classes. He knows it’s a place to focus and we are so grateful to see this side of him.

My son attended San Diego Academy of Ballet for a few months and I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of instruction and the level of care provided by the staff. The teachers are highly skilled and experienced, and they do an amazing job of making sure that every child feels valued and supported.

The studio itself is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with plenty of room for dancers to move and practice.

My son took classes with Marshall, who is very friendly, professional and an outstanding teacher!

SDAB has changed my life both in and outside of ballet. Never have I danced in a more supportive, encouraging, and challenging environment. All of the teachers have your best interest in mind and pay so much attention to each student. The classes are hard, but with a purpose. Each class is structured to turn you into a better, stronger dancer. Particularly, Ms. Sylvia and Ms. Simone have been some of the most invested, caring teachers I have ever had. I have seen immense progress since joining SDAB; I truly feel at home here. The performance opportunities are exceptional, as well. I cannot recommend this school enough.
