I’ve been wanting to post something about my experience for awhile now. However, had to process it for myself. Dr. Mani was very nice upon meeting her, but there was something on my experience that did not settle well, that progressed into pure distaste for ever wanting to go back.

I am someone who has been classified as “underweight” all my life despite eating more than most of my male friends. I have a high metabolism, but Dr. Mani, kept referencing the BMI chart, which I found comical because everyone knows that system is outdated and was originally designed of male figure research.

I felt shamed for my weight, I felt like she insinuated my weight was due to an eating disorder. Thank god I am not someone who suffers from an eating disorder. However, her accusations could have potentially triggered someone who is. Dr. Mani, did not listen when I told her that I’ve been this same weight all adult life, since a recent change would indicate an issue.

All in all, I would not recommend this gynecologist if you’re wanting a body positive doctor. I hope that she reads her reviews and can better her listening skills when it comes to caring for her patients. I will never recommend someone go here not will I ever return.

Love coming to Dr. Mani Parvin. Staff is so nice and professional and Dr. Parvin is always so sweet and caring. She’s always given me her honest opinion about treatments and the results speak for themselves. Thank you!
