San Diego Day Center reviews
17 Have a big line every morning but always have limited amount of beds available. Does not take your phone number when signing up for a shelter. Make you start over every day instead of having a real list. Don't have enough employees to handle what needs to be done.
The homeless section over here is bad. I'm surprised they haven't found a fast and better way to clean up the streets. It's just depressing walking down in this area. San Diego has a real bad homeless problem. Makes the city looks bad. Have way too many people sleeping around.
It is still crowded at certain times in the mornings. Other than that it's okay. You can still get your mail & help from the workers there if you need. Bathroom if you need. The workers behind the counter will beable to point you in the right direction for further assistance. They are only open at certain time during the week and weekends. Inquire within for further assistance.
I'm renting a room here in Toledo, OH now, but when I was in San Diego I used to go to the day center to get my mail, charge my phone, and watch TV and relax. It's funny how COVID-19 helped to really tone down the ongoing drama caused by troublemakers that used to occur there. Anyways I found the security guards and staff to be strict (understandably) yet respectful and courteous. And I am grateful for that. May God bless all of you!
Threw away half my belongings diabetic equipment, clothing, and important documentation, said I was past 45 day check in limit although I had visited and they didn't record the visit, theft is huge here, many involved there are better places, find them.
Ok it's actually a good place to go to get some rest, ur mail and to warm up if it's cool outside. You can do ur laundry and charge ur electric device too. The staff is very nice.
People have somewhere to get some food and help or even their mail. This place helps you remember where you can be if you aren't careful. God bless
Because of the virus there are limits. But it's a great place to get help. Because the staff are very helpful.
Dropped off some donations yesterday at the Center. Love the staff there and we were able to have a quick "check in session" to see how everyone was doing. Us Social Workers SO need this and it's great to be around others in this community that cares so much! Hope to have some more items for you next week!:)
I arrive at usually 2pm on Thursdays with various donations.
I remember using their address as my mailing address years ago but I had to return back to Hawaii because of legal/probation issues but I may return back to San Diego someday
Hello family just want to send some feed back on todays visit to the neil good center. But the last time I came threw here it was called the Neo Green Center at that time. But I'm here today to see if I could get into the shelter since I was served with a 60 day notice to leave my home. Not sure who printed it out but it's time I guess I move on anyways to maybe help someone along my path in hopes that I get my same bunk 300 lol I'll give an up
It's basically a place to go for the homeless during the day. It can help connect to many resources like mail, clothing, and meal donations. It's a last resort sort of place so no one is really happy to be there.
The line for mail was longer than I've ever seen, and I don't buy the idea that the stimulus takes a month past the date mailed to arrive.
At this time of our lives COVID-19. The activity there is hectic. But we make due. Very little problems.
I'm giving 4 Star only because you get mail, wash your clothes and have a room were you can leave your belongings safe you do need to go once a week and check in if not you will loose your belongings and it's free the bad thing is that picken up your mail takes a long time do to the fact that they are short staffed.
Antoinette she's so awesome when we got housed and she gifted us with posropedic pillows
If you need a place to receive mail that is not your home address you can go there and register there's also sort of social services there to help people who are indigents or poor to get clothing referral services health insurance food laundry showers, pop up get h hi
Great place to relax and watch a movie and rest. They have clean restrooms and a great staff. Makes you feel safe and secure. J get my mail there a d feel safe that my mail is secure. The staff take great care of I.porta t packages. The last thing is every Thursday they give help getting g your picture Identification. The first five people get a voucher and a ride to get it. Much respect for the entire program.
