BEST experience ever! Dr Iyengar is far and away the most professional and precise surgeon for the eye area. He has the kindest disposition and an unspoken “Don’t worry, I’ll take the best care of you” approach. My experience was by far the smoothest and easiest with little to no anxiety. I felt like I was treated like a family member by you and all of your staff. There isn’t a single thing I could ask for to be done differently and I’m super duper particular. There’s no reason to get a second opinion even though I visited 4 other doctors in the process because I don’t live in California. After meeting Dr Iyengar, I was certain I had found the best there is! Thank you for taking away all of my undereye worries for life.

I required ptosis surgery to correct for a droopy eyelid that was beginning to interfere with my vision in one eye. Dr. Iyengar and the staff at San Diego Eyelid specialists handled everything beautifully-from initial consultation and evaluation, through a second consultation, through surgery which was quick and expertly executed, and through post-operative followups. The procedure required an incision (and temporary sutures) on the inside of my eyelid, which proved a little cumbersome, but the advantage of this method is that it leaves no scar on the outside of the lid. Dr Iyengar and his staff were wonderful to work with. They got me in last minute when I had an emergency and graciously took care of me. I had thorough follow up appointments to ensure everything was fine after. They’re definitely my first call if I have any issues in the future!

This review is long overdue. I had eyelid surgery with Dr. Iyengar back in June of this year, doctor and staff were all friendly and professional. I put off this surgery for a couple of years because I was scared about what the outcome would be. Dr. Iyengar was able to make my eye lid more symmetrical to my other eye, he is amazing! Today I’m almost 5 months post op and my eyelid feels normal and the scar is barely visible. Thank you so much Dr. Iyengar and staff.

I am a retired physician and I chose Dr. Iyengar because he is an experienced oculoplastic surgeon. It was very important to me that the health of my eyes was the highest priority. I am very satisfied with results of my surgery. His office staff is efficient, helpful and very accessible.

Had Mohs surgery for basal cell on my eyelid. Quite a hunk of tissue removed to excise it. From the beginning I planned on having Dr Iyengar do the reconstruction and I’m VERY happy with my choice and the result. It wasn’t an easy repair and it turned out great. His office was very easy to work with, from initial appointment to surgical scheduling. I’m a physician so I have a pretty good sense of when I’m getting good care and when I’m not. Everything was top notch from start to finish! Would highly recommend Dr. Iyengar.

It was really important to me to find a plastic surgeon that specialized in ophthalmology for my eyelid lift. I had a great experience with Dr. Iyengar & his staff. I am thrilled with the results of my procedure and feel the outcome looks so natural!

Dr. Iyengar removed the extra skin from my upper eyelids. It's a quick procedure. My swollen eyes took about 1.5 to 2 weeks to heal. My little boy accidently scratched my eyelid during recovery period and half the lid was opened (*tips* - wear eyeglasses or goggles around little kids =D). It looked terrible and was quite a scare. Dr. Iyengar was so amazing. He fixed it like it was nothing. He's really good about removing enough of the lids so that the result doesn't change the shape of your eyes (unless you're not loving the shape of your eyes, then just let him know). It was easy making an appointment. His team was very professional and helpful. Overall, I'm very happy with the results and I highly recommend Dr. Iyengar.

Dr Iyengar is AMAZING! He and his staff went above and beyond! I had a leaky eye - I looked like I was crying all the time! Apparently this is a very delicate surgery but my optometrist assured me that Dr Iyengar at San Diego Eyelid Specialist was an excellent doctor and that is where I should go. He did not even give me the names of any other surgeons! I - of course - had to ask around and literally this was the only name that kept coming up when I would ask people!
He took the time to explain the procedure, what would be "happening" during the procedure, what the recovery time and healing would be, and the results - he was very through! At one point I thought I was having an issue during the first couple of days after the surgery and called the number that was provided to me to use in such an event. Much to my surprise it was Dr Iyengar himself who answered - on a weekend! He asked me to send him a picture, got right back to me and all was well! Seriously above and beyond! I would HIGHLY recommend he and his wonderful, helpful staff!

I recently got my upper eyelids done with Dr. Iyengar. The whole process was such a positive experience. Everyone in that office is supportive and pleasant to work with. Dr. Iyengar has a calm confident presence about him and it shows up in his work. You cant even tell I got this done it looks so natural! I even feel better and can see more in my peripheral vision. The heaviness of my eyelids is gone!:) im so pleased!
