My family and I have been going to the san Diego KOA for about 26 year's now it's getting way to expensive

Well, this KOA was a surprise. There were a number of negative reviews that talked about noise, parties, etc, but we didn't experience any of that - and we were there on a long holiday weekend! Plus, this KOA has more cabins/glamping tents than any other KOA we've been to which makes it ideal for groups/family reunions. The part itself is spacious and spotless. The pool area is amazing (I think it's been redone recently) and they are currently preparing to add even more cabins. There definitely were a lot of children in the park but there's a lot for them to do. I got the feeling that many of the people were 'local' that just wanted to get away with friends/family. Everyone was considerate of others and a good time was had by all. Would definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

A very nice KOA park. Too bad the weather was rainy while we were here. We stayed in a deluxe site that had a firepit, Adirondack chairs, a patio and a BBQ. But we paid more for it. A nice pool and hot tub area which we could hardly use.

This place has undergone some marvelous remodeling. The pool is spectacular and the increased rates are probably worth it! We have stayed here many times over the years. It's the best KOA I've ever stayed at and a great home base for visiting the San Diego area.

If you want chaos, hordes of unsupervised children running wild, adults behaving badly then come here on a weekend. If you want to hear constructive work being done to the park, come during the week. This is a great location to visit San Diego’s attractions but it attracts bad RV neighbors. The pull through sites make it hard to park your tow vehicle in front or back, if your RV is over 40 feet. The park is very child oriented and most parents feel they can let their children run loose, without watching them. I am surprised they allow bonfires with all the pollution in the area. So, it is a nice park if you have kids or you are gone all day and night. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Great campground, very clean, great showers. Great for children, beautiful pools, outside cafe, live music on weekends, excellent staff. We had a great 2 weeks there. Will definitely go back.

We had a wonderful time here. The staff is very diligent and courteous and the grounds are very clean. And we certainly enjoyed the new pool. We definitely are planning on coming back.

Visited with 3 generations - nice cabins for grandparents, RV for oldest parents, and tent for youngest family. Very well maintained and multiple activities - especially for younger children. Only questionable items WiFi is so so and hot water in cabin inconsistent. New pool great for all and snack shop had really good food at reasonable prices.

It's a big site with only two restrooms. The tent site is up against the back of the freeway and noisy. There's a lot of homeless people around which is why they lock the place up at night with a closed gate. Chula vista is not a great place to stay but it's not to far from Coronado

This campground is the worst in San Diego. It's way too crowded with both RVs and vehicles and because of this it is extremely difficult for larger RVs to park. The only two positives is the staff and amount of amenities/activities for kids, it's definitely a family oriented place.

Excellent place! I just wish the new pool had been open while we were there.the old one was kind of dirty and gross. Otherwise, tons to do here, and lots of fun for the whole family!

Cute!

My favorite koa, they have good food, lots to do, nice cabins, and more. I live renting a bannana bike to drift around the koa, the only problem I have had with this koa is that the wifi practicly doesn't exist, but that doesn't ruin my stay!

I absolutely adore this place. Great activities for the kids, very green, very well kept, and staff are very friendly. Awesome little takeaway food counter and very chill atmosphere. Not a long drive from the beach either! This is our go-to vacation spot when we want to get away from AZ heat.

Greta place to pitch a tent and spend a night or two. Pool was warm, hot tub was hot. Staff friendly as could be. Only downside was the price. Almost $60 bucks for a plot of ground seems steep but I guess not a bad value when you considering the events for kids and awesome pool. Stayed in the past.will stay in the future! Clean fresh and fun!

It was fun except for the balloon twister (a older man). He made my granddaughter cry by telling her to go away and leave him alone. She's only 5 and very sweet. When I approached him and he denied it. I wish he would have apologized.

Amazing activities for the kids, including, rock wall, train rides, bikes, carts and pool. The pool was okay, my youngest loved it, but my oldest was not a fan. They have a great store and awesome cafe. We liked it alot!

Tent camping site 1514 with electric is near the restrooms. Good atmosphere for the 2 days we spent. Looks like plenty of activities for the younger visitors. Do recomend.

Drove through it with my family a couple days ago as we were considering it for the summer. Love that it is central, offers different kind of experiences (cabin rental, tent, camper, RV.). Nice amenities for kids (jumping area, little climbing wall, small pool - but they are building a nicer and larger one right now- playground, etc. Because of the construction, we decided to wait until next year to camp there.

Great family oriented campground. They are building a new pool complex that looks awesome. Should be done in a few months. I liked the camping spots with trees and shrubs around. Ours was a very long pull through with 50a power, water and sewer.
They had a balloon artist and face painting this morning and the kids loved it. They also have two very nice playgrounds.
It was very quiet last night. We will come here again.

This camp site is s wonderful place for children. The park have activities for kids starting at 1: 00pm The current pool area is really not conducive for adults however, as I'm typing this review contractors are plastering the new pool area. I'm sure in a couple of days the new pool will be completed. This campground has a general store and a place were you can purchase food and adult beverages. The food is actually pretty good. Overall this KOA is really nice however, the trees can interrupt your RV satellite which means no tv reception. Highly recommend this KOA
