San Diego Yacht Club reviews
17A ruff day on the bay sailing. But very fun and worth getting wet. The people were very polite and very nice. Kinda expected snotty nose people. But totally opposite 100%. Can't wait to go back.
Dropped by today with my fiancé because we were considering joining. We were told to leave and that we could read about it on their website.
Even with high expectations associated with the place of this caliber, staff at San Diego Yacht club completely exceeded them, making my visit both pleasant and memorable.
Amazing fish and chips, my partner and I are British and have been in the US for 2 months now. We both fancied the traditional Brit favourite and were not disappointed. The batter melted in your mouth and the fish was flaky and tasty, not at all dry. The steak chips were great and prices reasonable. View from the deck and ambience added to a memorable lunch.
My girlfriends and I took off sailing from there and had a bite to eat there. A fantastic day at sea learning to sail and a great place to have a drink afterwards.
This morning we took a walk here! Breath taken views. Amazing weather almost year round! Hard to find better place for morning walk
One of the Jewels of of San Diego. From late 1800's to current, it's been a top draw for competitive sailing. Cup by cup all the way to America's Cup!
Top notch sailing club. Every sailor is an expert, maintains their gear, and follows the etiquette guidelines. The races are quite competitive and the environment is fantastic.
My favorite yacht club in San Diego, excellent food, excellent service. Out of all the places in San Diego, we are so happy we had our wedding reception and baby shower here. We have wonderful and memorable memories at SDYC and continue to create them.
Great venue in the spinnaker room. Our guests were very impressed with the space and view. Really helped elevate our presentation. Food was excellent, too.
¡Excellent! Pickleball, restaurant (waygo sliders & N. E.clam chowda) and an amazing boat tour of Al's marvelous, marine wood work.
This place is wonderful! We had a corporate regional meeting in one of the many rooms followed by a happy hour/social. The staff was wonderful and the club itself is so clean and classy. I would highly recommend the restaurant and food as well!
My grandparents have been taking me to the San Diego yacht club since I was a very small child. I'm now a grandmother myself and felt incredibly nostalgic going back. That said the place does not feel aged it feels classic, very clean and maintained. They've also decorated very nicely for the Christmas season. Several live wreaths and poinsettias and at least five Christmas trees. We were here today on Thursday they had a giant Christmas buffet, about $40 a person they did not stint on the food at all. Gorgeous Southern California weather while sitting out on the patio overlooking San Diego Bay full of boats, couldn't have asked for a better day. Have a Merry Christmas.
The waterfront iß beautiful. The walk along the beach is one of the best walks I have taken with my dog. Everyone who encountered her was friendly.
I was told by the man running my credit card to use his pencil to sign and record the tip on the credit card bill. I ONLY use ink. He said it would be ok. I said, " No thank you, pencil can be erased and a new amount put in to replace it. "
Visiting here by boat, whether for a weekend or an extended stay, is an experience to savor. The tennis courts and lap pool (opens at 5: 30a.m. While the moon is still out) are attractive amenities. It's been quite some time since dining in the restaurant so can only comment on the dessert menu, which I did have sample. Well, let's just say, the atmosphere was pricey considering the miniature slices of cake we sampled. And, if you're from a visiting club, there's an extra surcharge. Still, the view of the Bay was incredible.
