A very nice, clean and interesting place to visit, there are many couples taking newlywed photos. Admission is free and there are small exhibits

My recent visit to the City Hall allowed me to witness that love is in the air. There were 4 weddings happening at the same time with 6 wedding photo sessions on site as well.

It is a place you have to visit, if you go to San Francisco. The dome structure is the fifth largest in the world.

Heads up. Two days before my friends wedding it was canceled because a public figure will be there. She wasn't able to get a refund on her make up artist or her hotel. No solution was offered for her. I understand when a public figure comes you have to make all types of security precautions but my friend is devastated and lost a lot of money. That isn’t fair. Some type of accommodation should have been arranged for her. Another day or time. Now she has to try to find another venue in a couple days because she has family coming in from out of town. Truly makes me sad for her

Came for a wedding and was surprised by how difficult it was to hear everything. The acoustics weren’t favorable and the temperature was very warm inside.

Beautiful historical building.there is a security gate to enter but worth passing it because the interior of the building is as magnificent as the exterior.

First off, let me just say, "Wow! " Walking up to the grand entrance, you can't help but be struck by the sheer magnificence of the building. The architecture is a breathtaking blend of Beaux-Arts and Renaissance styles, and the towering dome seems to touch the sky. It's a testament to the city's rich history and grandeur.

Inside, the opulence continues. The grand rotunda is nothing short of spectacular, with its sweeping marble staircases, intricate details, and a massive chandelier that adds a touch of old-world charm. I felt like I'd stepped into a scene from a classic movie.

But the real showstopper was the Board of Supervisors Chamber. This is where the city's decisions are made, and it's a room filled with history and gravitas. The ornate woodwork, stained glass, and murals depicting the city's past make it a place where you can't help but feel a sense of importance and civic pride.

While touring the building, I stumbled upon an unexpected surprise: a wedding ceremony taking place on the grand staircase. The bride looked radiant, and the backdrop of City Hall was nothing short of magical. It made me appreciate the building's versatility and the role it plays in so many important life moments.

The staff at City Hall were incredibly friendly and helpful. They offered insights into the building's history and pointed out interesting details that I might have otherwise missed. Their enthusiasm for City Hall was infectious, and it added an extra layer of enjoyment to the visit.

Whether you're a history buff, an architecture enthusiast, or simply looking to appreciate the beauty of a grand building, this place has it all. I left with a newfound appreciation for the city's heritage and a sense of wonder at the beauty that can be found within the heart of a bustling metropolis. Don't miss the chance to explore this cultural treasure when you're in San Francisco!

San Francisco City Hall is truly a top choice for hosting wedding ceremonies. I recently had the pleasure of working with their event office, and I must say, the staff there were not only super friendly but also incredibly helpful throughout the planning process.

The building itself is a sight to behold, and even around 4 pm during my visit, it was bustling with activity, showcasing its vibrant atmosphere and popularity.

If you're on the lookout for a captivating and historically rich venue for your special day, San Francisco City Hall is the perfect choice. It's a testament to the city's charm and a fantastic place to embark on your marital journey.

Very nice building. However, despite the museums and public buildings, the area is very run down and full of homeless people.

City Hall.like most others except this is San Francisco City Hall! Within those walls hold SF's darkest secrets, the city's rich history, building architecture, and much more. Right outside those steps can hold a variety of events. From protests, breaking news, two individuals whom just tied the knot and posing in newlywed photographs. Sometimes you may even run into elected officials unexpectedly.

Today was magical. I got married for the first time in my life. From the baroque atmosphere, to the kind people who guided us through the process from start to finish. I highly recommended this experience. Since it is your day, being at the top of the rotunda only seems fitting. There are couples all around you waiting to have the moment that you are now experiencing. As you look into the eyes of your now better half, your old world melts away and a bold beautiful new one takes it's place. After, we walked these halls of history and feel somehow restored, brave, committed, and true. Magical!

Beautiful architecture that can be seen on many levels. We attended a wedding on the top floor and it was beautiful.

We misplaced some items while we were going through the security check due to a lot of chaos in trying to get to the wedding party, get the kids through, and juggle multiple bags.

The lost and found team in room 008 was great. They were kind, helpful and empathetic.

This would be 5 stars except for how rude the security guard was about our missing items. He was incredibly unhelpful. Luckily, her turned in the items to the lost and found.

It's a crime to let a chicken cross the road in Quitman, Georgia, but it's not a crime to steal a value of under $1 grand from stores in SF. This is the most goofy ahh government I've ever heard of.
