I thoroughly enjoyed my recent visit on a quiet afternoon. I was alone in this small museum, but found plenty to interest me for the better part of an hour. I’m, admittedly, a SF history fan, but I think a casual visitor will find something of interest. Also, Commercial St.is a wonderful way to stroll up to Chinatown.

I walked past the Mint and it’s open on Saturdays to the public and free. SF Historical Society now is in the building operating a museum. Check it out. Worthy of a visit.
