I'll tell you something that travel agents don't want u to know about. When reserving resorts use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ They've got the best deals on resorts! So much better than using expedia, priceline, agoda. That's for sure!

Great hotel in the heart of San Francisco with an amazing view of the city. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Room was very modern and had a great wash area and large shower. There are many great shops and restaurants within walking distance. Parking was available nearby.

Really really nice bed. I'm going to buy this bed later. Windows are thin though so expect some noise. Overall great experience and they were able to extend my stay without too much trouble. Had a decent view.

Terrible service… went to this hotel to try and get a room after dinner. After I paid for the room 25-30 minutes later I came back to try to cancel since I was not going to be able to stay because a family emergency came up. Went down asked the front desk if there was any way I can get a refund for the room. She said no refunds. This was only 25-30 minutes after I checked in my mistake was thinking that this place was professional at all. She said there was no refunds. Wouldn’t recommend this place customer service was terrible no remorse for my situation just wanted my money for the room and that’s it. Would give 0 stars if possible…

Absolutely bad experience caution about getting in and out of the hotel takes about 40 minutes. As the cars in car port getting in and out is extremely slow very poorly managed. As trying to maximize our time here in SF we lost time to the unapologetic management.

We have very mixed feeling about this place. We spent 3nights (2 adults 2 young children) that we booked through expedia. Upon arrival we get informed that the "expedia breakfast" is different than the marriott breakfast. Meaning you have to queue at the grocery store to get a "gas station style" coffee and donut from a non friendly clerk challenging every item you ask for in case your children are not with you. However, the room itself was nice, the location was great and the reception staff was very friendly. Oh and Wi-Fi was not free since we booked through expedia. Weird rule for a weird hotel.

Great place in downtown with close proximity to museum of modern art and other attractions. I truly appreciate their Valet parking, very courteous staff and they have a great system to request for the car by paging them and there are tv monitors that give u the status. Well maintained, all hand sanitizer stations are filled, well cleaned. The coffee place downstairs is very nice and convenient. Rooms are clean and bathrooms are spotless.

If I have to be very picky, here are a couple. 1. I'm a big fan of powerful showers and this one was a drip
2. The hallway are clean, except the patterns on the carpet can make u feel light headed, so don't look at the floor when you walk in the hallways.

Otherwise I highly recommend this place

The best feature this hotel has to offer is it's location and if it weren't for that I probably would not have stayed here.

The parking situation is atrocious and they should let guests know ahead of time if the parking has reached capacity (it's a first come first serve basis) because then you have to park at a different lot (it was cheaper anyway so not bad on saving some money).

The hotel itself is extremely busy so when you call to the front desk, they never answer. Ever! Which is insane. The rooms are basic at best which considering what you pay, you could at least get plastic utensils and a decent microwave in the room. The AC never worked the entire time we stayed and there is only one vent in the whole room, 1, so there's no air circulation. Our room still had water bottles and other food items left from previous occupants when we arrived. If you have small kids like we do, a bath tub was not even offered to us, I imagine the hotel is shower only.
Food options are minimal but luckily there are great options nearby and a Target across the street in case you forgot things or need snacks.
As a titanium member, I expected a little more from this hotel, but I know the next time we visit San Francisco this probably won't be the place for us.

Great place to stay and it a very nice, central location. Can around the city of San Francisco pretty easily from here without a car. Rooms were nice, bed was comfy, and were cleaned daily. Plus the price is pretty good for the area. Would stay here again.

Full disclosure, we would not have chosen the Marriott of it weren't for promotional pricing for the event we went to. The pros-
-City views are truly spectacular, don't hesitate to spend the extra money,
-Ease, location is hard to beat if you are staying near the financial or Soma and check in/out
Cons-
-Elevator typically has a line to use when you want to use it most
-38th floor bar, The View is constantly packed and extremely loud, far from the images
-The price, if the hotel had affordable conveniences, like the snack bar was cheaper than 7/11, rather than more expensive, I might feel otherwise for the cost of rooms.

The San Francisco Marriott Marquis is in a great location near museums, restaurants, Yerba Buena Park, and Union Square. The lobby is large, modern, and clean and the rooms have been recently modernized. The gym is enormous with 2 floors, lots of new equipment, and towel service. The View Lounge at the top floor is also a must-see while you visit.

Had to switch rooms becuase the first one had a rock hard bed and felt claustrophobic.friendly staff offered us a much nicer room with a better view and way more comfortable bed.

Poor water pressure in the shower, very hard to take a shower with that kind of water pressure.the bathrooms don't have ventilation fans, they don't provide plates or cups, the service staff were good.
Very minimal features offered for the price. Too expensive but not worth the money

If your looking to stay 1 night in SF, the Marriot Marquis offers some affordable rooms with the request of having a city view. Wouldn't recommend if staying more than 1 weekend due to the vallet parking being charged per night at $79.99
