I am confused by the harsh reviews. The location alone makes this place an awesome RV park. I can watch the sunset and hear the surf pounding from my space. Any park this close to the ocean is not going to be cheap. The fact that there is everything you need within walking distance - grocery, restaurants, hardware store, post office, liquor store, public transportation, make it an even better value. Has anyone been to the Florida coast? The nightly rates here are reasonable. Yes the spaces are tight. Look around you. California isn’t the Midwest. Real estate is dense everywhere. The bathroom is clean. There is beach access a short pleasant walk away; and it is dog friendly, as a bonus. There is a public pier a short walk away. We watched paragliders sail past the park. The staff are cheerful and helpful. Ken worked with us to resolve an issue to our satisfaction, even though the circumstances were not the fault of the RV park. That is true commitment to customer satisfaction. Yes, the park surface is asphalt; but it’s not muddy. Camping in mud sucks. Our site is level. Our neighbors are friendly. Never in my imagination would I have thought I could park my RV by the ocean and be so close to San Francisco. I feel fortunate to have this experience because this coastal area might crumble into the ocean in the future. Appreciate what we have here, while we still have it. It is magical.

Paid premium price for oceanfront spot, which we didn't get. All their oceanfront spots are closed yet they are charging for them. No fire pits and wood burning pits you might have are also not allowed. Second star is only because the have clean bathrooms and showers and also have a laundry room.

Nice and clean RV resort with great views if you enjoy parking lot camping. No access to the beach unless you go out of the park and down the road. Over all we did enjoy our stay.

It's a great location. Closest RV camp to the city. Great for a basecamp to explore SF. People were nice amenities are basic.it's a parking lot. Pool and hot tub space is cramped and tiny but clean. Bathrooms are not the best. Its old and not kept up to date.

Again the location is the best, a quick walk to coffee, food ans groceries. Kind of magical really. But seriously, this place is literally falling into the sea. Visit soon.

Totally overpriced RV parking lot by the ocean. Do not expect to enjoy your stay here as there is no space at your site to enjoy. As soon as you open your front door, BOOM, there's your neighbor! We paid almost a thousand dollars to stay for a week at this self proclaimed RESORT. And that was after we originally booked the inland site for $732/week. That site is measured at 36x14 feet. My RV with the slide out measures at 30x13. That extra foot of space is taken up by my steps to enter my travel trailer. I went back to the office to be moved to another site that we could actually fit in and was told I had to upgrade and pay the extra $200+. We did book our site through their website and gave the required info on our RV and they chose the site to put us in which was for a motorhome to pull head first into. Which means all of our hoses would run underneath the RV. Really? For $732/week? !? I will never stay here again. I will not encourage any of my RV friends to stay here either. We paid the price so we will just have to make the best of it!

Update- The manager, Ken, called me and refunded the extra charge for the upgraded inland site we were moved to. I appreciate him recognizing that we shouldn't be responsible for their lack of sites we requested. Thanks Ken! That is how customer service is done!

This is a camping parking lot really that at the moment is under constructing in areas. The spaces are pretty tight, however there's an amazing view and plenty of places to walk your dog they're is even a slightly adventurous way to get down to the beach. The grounds were clean and well cared for and the staff was friendly. We were close to San Francisco and all the things to do there which really is the point of staying here. The lower bathrooms were clean when you could get into them. I'll never understand the system of giving a code and then closing the bathrooms when they close the office lol. Anyway. I will happily stay again.

My wife and I are full time rv-ers for almost 2 years now. The most expensive place we had stayed was the Florida Keys which of course was a tropical paradise. San Francisco RV resort is very far from that. Hands down nothing but a parking lot. Being an Encore RV resort you expect a little more, especially for $120 a night. We booked online, but you cannot choose your own site. All the correct info was filled out online (travel trailer, 30ft, 1 slide, etc.). Upon arrival the man behind the counter told me they put me in site 110 which was a motor home site and I wound have to run all hoses and cables underneath. When I got to the site, my slide would touch the rv next to mine and my stairs would touch the rv on the other side. When we told the man behind the counter, his response was it is your fault for booking online and what do you want me to do about it! This is how you speak to people? This is customer service? Nope just a total unprofessional. He said I can move you to another site for $200 more for the week. Thats's a total of $940 for a week in a dump. Definitely not the place you want to stay after a long day drive. Complete rip off and not worth the hassle. Trust me do yourself a favor and shop around.

I am adding a star to the review due to the manager taking the right step and making things right monetarily. We truly appreciate his response and actions!

Not actually in SF, but the most comfortable RV resort in driving distance. Located in Pacifica with good weekly rates and ocean sunsets, it's the only RV destination worth stopping at.

Close enough to the city to rent a car and hit the bright spots of SF. View of the ocean, constant breeze when we were there.

Overpriced, there was construction all day without a warning and don’t expect any parking after 7pm. It’s in Pacifica so expect your rig to be coated in dry salt water.

Booked an oceanview spot thinking it would be nice; however it was just a spot in a parking lot that faced the ocean. The electric box outlet was so loose it would not keep my surge protector connected! The parking lot space was so uneven the levelers could not level the RV!
Your “neighbor” was so close to you. WILL NOT recommend this RV park if you are looking for a nice, clean park; if you want to pay a high price parking lot space then this is the place. Don’t know how Good Sam gave this place such good ratings. Very Disappointed

A simple property right alongside the ocean with a great staff and full hook ups that is part of a little town. 25 min from San Francisco with access to uber.who could want anything else. It made for a great 5 day stay!

Very quiet, the weather is always cool even when the bay area just 25 miles away is scorching. Nice walking paths and beautiful views. The sunsets are breathtaking and if you are lucky enough to come during the whale migration, you will never want to leave. The staff is wonderful and always working to keep the resort in tip top shape. Sure, it could use a little color and beautifying, but most people stay here as a home base for their day trips to San Francisco, Napa, and other bay area attractions.

I loved it for its location. The sites are VERY close together. If you have a side deck, it is very unlikely that you will be putting it out! We will go back though. You are literally on the cliffs of the pacific. What more could you ask for? ! Connectivity was good, we were a block from the bus stop, and we could see the ocean. The proximity to the city is pretty great and we actually saw whales!

Great ocean views. Enjoyed great sunsets. Whale watching awesome! Good central location for day trips. Park was usable, in need of renovation.
