San Francisco Zoo

Zoo was cool. Lots of construction going on. Ate at the leaping lemur cafe. The food was horrible. They take food that has been sitting out all day and serve it to you. They take cold buns and put this questionable meat on it. Then they charge you 25$ per meal. Outrageous. Took at few bits and lost my appetite. At least improve the quality of your food.

Great place for kids! Got 2 under 2 and they enjoyed it. We only got halfway and ended up at the playground.

I recommend going to the main restaurant (not the one at the play place) since there is more selection there. The playground restaurant is more snacks than food and we don't realize it was only a few steps away.

We arrived around 10: 30am and parking was a breeze.

We will be going back to explore the second half of the zoo.

San Francisco zoo used to be good. Now it’s become very dull and quiet. Many of the enclosures were temporarily closed. There are no more tigers, which are main attraction of any zoo. They have two lions only now. All othet animals looks sad and not playful. Also, no more snack carts. Cafe was closed too. We went on Tuesday afternoon though may be they are open on weekends only. We feel like we wasted money. Oakland zoo is much better.

I really like that there are free days designated for residents. I recently went to the zoo. I really like the lemurs and there was a new animal, fossa that I enjoyed seeing. My favorite is the red pandas. Recently there have been new updates/renovations. Unfortunately, there seemed to be a lot of animals missing. I think they were being moved around. It's not a big zoo, but it has interesting animals to see. They have a paid parking lot, but it's very easy to park outside.

This was the most desolate zoo I've ever been in! I felt bad for the animals! The parking lot is not super safe although I personally didn't have a problem. Most of the animals weren't in their enclosures to be seen. They were hidden away. Honestly do not recommend going here. I was very disappointed and sad for the animals after our visit.

Always a fabulous time at the SF Zoo! Just be sure to bring layers, the ocean breeze can get pretty chilly.

Not worth the drive rather go to Oakland zoo, has no animals seemed like a typical small local zoo save your money, all the animals look dead, there are more closed/empty exhibits than animals, the amphibian building was closed and I almost cried I will never go again it’s all hype, they should put more animals in the big empty land they have and the workers should stop being lazy and go feed them, anorexic low energy animals

Visiting the zoo is a great experience. Nice facility. You have a great time here. And the steam locomotive is worth seeing

Most exhibits bare, main attraction still after many years under construction. Only bright spot.got free EV charge.

Not many animals, No elephant, no lion, no tiger.it's not worth, very boring place for kids,

This zoo is a little run down, and the animals don't look healthy and happy, quite a few exhibits closed.

The best zoo I have visited. Large. Walk around for 5 hours from the time it opened at 0900 until 2pm. It was 65 and foggy. In Lousiana it was 105 and 99 percent humidity when I left. I absolutely enjoyed the weather in San Francisco.it was heavenly. People were friendly and cordial. Overall, pleasant outdoor experience with animals of many kinds.

Really like visiting here. Always some excitement. Love seeing the all the animals. Just wish all the exhibits were available to view are go inside to see. At least the rhino kept himself entertained. Lol
