San Gorgonio Family Campground reviews
9Such a wonderful camp ground! Very well maintained. Friendly Camp Host. Hot showers and flushing toilets (bring your own soap). Will definitely come back
Had a great one night stay here at the group site. The campground was packed and neighbors were noisy all throughout the night.
This is a great, family friendly, pet friendly Campground. There are flushing toilets (bring your own soap) and hot showers. The sites are very roomy and easy to navigate. The camp host was an amazing fellow!
Campground with flush toilet, showers with hot water. I haven't seen anyone post pictures of the shower so here it is. Host was nice making the rounds and introducing with a couple camping rules. Would return.
Camped 7/15. Upon reaching my reserved campsite, I am met with a lone woman and her dog with truck/trailer still at my site. She did the ol' "oh what? I didn't know this was reserved/I thought I reserved it for x amount of days" while completely ignoring my last name being displayed on the campsite post. Check Out is at 12PM, Check-In is at 2PM. I arrived at 2: 30PM. She did the tired ol' "where are you from, where'd you reserve it" rhetoric before I left my party to go contact the camp host. She said it's going to take a "1.5 hours" to get everything loaded up, a recliner camp chair and her chonker of a dog. I promptly began loading off my camping gear; still took her 3 hours to "load everything", she began to move when the people who reserved the double site across mine arrived from their outing. I was parked in their open spot (got the ok from the camp host if you're reading this friend) and began to tell the Tale of Entitled (W) Lady to said folks. Guess that ruffled her feathers.
Besides that, the camp hosts were great and gracious. I appreciate the help. Camp neighbors were cool too. Just some burger and brews under the stars was worth the drive, definitely will be back. Nearby creek trail is convenient, approximately 17 miles long. Didn't get a chance to do it as this was mostly a Treat Yo Self night.
Beautiful mountain views in a valley.
Clean site, quiet and mostly shaded.
Close to many trails and jenks lake.
Be aware of bears when hiking.
Wonder campgrounds - beautiful trees, clear skies, birds and snow capped mountains. Spacious campsites and nice amenities (ie showers). Near limitless range of bike and hike options close by. Host Erin (aka Wonder Woman) helped with information on local trails and other support to ensure an enjoyable visit. Thank you Erin… we will return
Clean and spacious camping spots. The only thing that disappointed, the ranger did not allow music well before quiet times.
I love big bear. The San G mountains have been in my back yard my entire life. I've spent many months camping the Jenks lake area. Wonderful rangers. Closed seasonally for winter. Call ranger Station for park info. Clean showers are great.
