San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport

A great local small airport. Recently remodeled and expanded. American, united, Alaskan, lots of local connections to skip the big city airport connections. Quick in and out short lines lots of options.reasonably priced. They have a nice little pick up and go or sit down restaurant/ shop for essentials, such as water and snacks.clean restrooms. Nice waiting area including outdoor space.

Don’t be afraid to fly into SBP. It is a super nice little airport.
Easy to get in & out of both arriving & departing.
Bag pick up is steps away from the arrivals gate.
Car rentals are easy to locate within the complex.
One small negative, when departing don’t get there too early, they will not let you check in & go through security & there are no shops/eateries on the check in side.
Talking of eating, there is a nice coffee, sandwich, drinks “shop” in the departure lounge. Albeit somewhat expensive.
Great home made style Quiche ($14.00) Turkey Club Sandwich ($14.00) Coffee’s typical prices $4.75.
I racked up nearly $45 on not much to look at.
It all tasted good though so hum, hum in the end.
We didn’t get to try any of the fare in the open air area just outside of the arrival/departure lounge but the small kiosks looked ok.
One last point, some beautiful views of acres of vineyards out of the window seat.

This airport is great until you are stuck here on a 8 hour flight delay with only a snack bar. If you could order from the Spirit of Saint Luis restaurant that is on site through the snack bar counter this would be a 5 star review.

Great place. Easy in, easy out. Very efficient. Only 6 Gates. Very clean and a nice place to have a snack.

Pretty efficient setup for outgoing and incoming passengers with a fair amount of parking and a good restaurant next door.

The San Luis Obispo Airport is very nice! I think they only have six gates which makes it a very easy airport to navigate. The weather was beautiful for our incoming and departing flights. If you are traveling to this area, I fully recommend that you use this airport.

Great local airport. Has a nice outside area to relax and enjoy some local wine or beer before your flight.

I passed through TSA once. I had to get something from outside, so I went out, and this time, TSA sent my bag for inspection! So close to lose my flight. I must say overall staff are very polite and helpful. For morning flights be always early.

Accomodations great our flight got cancelled had to go to Santa Barbara next day. Need extra staff and planes for backup.

A hidden gem on California's Central Coast, San Luis Obispo is a beautiful, friendly, small town with plenty to do surrounded by stunning scenery.

This is by far the best Central Coast airport! Easy parking. Super efficient check in and easy to find anything!

Security is usually very quick. You don’t have to take out toiletries or laptops which is nice.
But the 5-stars is definitely because of the outdoor waiting area. I’ve never seen an airport where you can get a beer on tap, read a book from a little pending library, all while enjoying the sunshine and fresh growing lavender. For those with pets, there’s a super easily accessible pet relief area that’s outdoors.
It’s the chill SLO life in airport form!

Clean. Friendly. They will try and make you gate check your bag, but don't let them. There is always plenty of room in overhead compartments. And if returning, their baggage return is the slowest I have ever experienced for checked bags.its ridiculous how long it takes for such a small airport, where getting luggage from plane to inside is such a short distance. Landed at 8: 21pm, it is now 9pm and they just announced they need 15 more minutes to unload bags! That is 50 minutes after landing!

TSA was very friendly & their screening was fast to move through. Very well run airport.

Beautiful airport. TSA was a breeze. Rental car drop off is a bit confusing, but other than that, great experience.

There is an FBO that is as clean as a hotel and has excellent food such as cookies and muffins.

No local cabs, rude service. Had a late flight in and no way to leave airport. Would not suggest if you are not local.
