San Luis Obispo Museum of Art

I've always been brought through the museum with friends or other people who I care about. I don't particularly understand art, but I like this place. It's a rather small museum, but it packs a lot in. I'd say there's enough to spend 20 or 30 minutes here, it's calm and quiet, and free which is a definite plus. There's a few different rooms to walk through, I'd say the only part that could be improved on is there's not really anybody to ask questions about the art. The only staff I've seen is the person working the front desk and they kind of have to stay there. I don't think this is really a demerit on the place because a small and free museum would not have those kind of resources.

One time I wanted to step inside a rug because it looked possible. Packs so much into a small (for an art museum) space! They always have at least three exhibits. No notes on curation. Lots of artist talks. I usually walk out with a little more faith in humanity

SLOMA, great little museum, and free! Saw the Maria Zaharías exhibition, so good! I appreciate small local museums like this, supported by the local community. Friendly staff too.

Great little museum of modern art, totally worth 15 minutes you’ll spend there.

Small but mighty! Just 2 rooms and an exhibit hallway but had some very interesting pieces. A great way to spend an hour or two!
