San Mateo Marriott San Francisco Airport

Just stayed for 2 nights and the customer service at this hotel is unbeatable! Craig checked us in and was super professional, polite and amicable. I wish I knew the names of both gentlemen who worked at the market because they were so polite and we kept talking about how crazy their jobs were because the restaurant is closed and they have to heat every sandwich and make every coffee order, while manning the market. They do it with a smile and friendly chat. It’s clear the hotel is limited capacity, and limited services as they open up more, but you’d never know because the employees treat their guests like royalty. This is a fantastic hotel, highly recommend!

On this amazing stay they were very helpful they had let us check in early due to the fact my mother was having headaches, and pain. But not enough pain to try to embarrass me in front of check-in clerk by asking if she single but she played along she was really sweet wit us. I would recommend this place.

A beautiful facility on a quiet street that's convenient to everything in SF and Napa. We found the staff to be helpful and friendly. I was particularly impressed with Liz and Craig.

Grounds are kept clean.
The staff we worked with who I believe was the manager, was absolutely amazing and a pleasure to work with. So kind and helpful and welcoming.
The lobby was nice- hallways and elevator were nice with no bad smells!:)
Room was great and clean and i have zero complaints for this place!

I an sure once they are completely reopened, they'd receive 5 stars. Only due to lack of amenities, ie pool, restaurant, and bar

Quick good reception service but that little market wasn't open after the afternoon and evening but the reception service opened it up

Having grown up in San Mateo, I remember when they had built this place but then, known as The Royal Coach. It had an old English medieval theme, and as a kid, it was a kick to go to. My mom and dad had their 25th Wedding Anniversary party there, so I have wonderful warm memories. My mom's anniversary passing was Sunday 3/28, so I got a room here Saturday night so I could wake up early morning and place flowers on her grave being I live out of town. The days of its medieval theme are long gone, but the front desk staff was kind and even listened to my story of my mom and dad's wedding anniversary. The gentleman behind the desk (whose name I can't remember but great guy) stated that they have heard many stories like mine. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and couldn't ask more than that. One can always tell older hotels by the very large hallways which of course this had. Clean, nice staff, and one can't ask for more than that.

Clean and modern rooms but you have to walk ALOT to get to your room. They charge you for parking when it should be free as there is barely anybody staying there, parking lot was literally empty. We checked in at night due to our flight being delayed and the South Asian front desk person that was there was extremely rude. Could not answer any of my questions and tried to rush everything. Did not explain to me and my family as to what was included and what was not with the room. Pretty much had to figure out everything myself as well as the closest entrance to my room on the opposite side of the property. I asked the same person for extra towels and pillows, he said he was doing me a favor by providing that because he was alone. Covid guidelines and protocol are in place but while I stayed there for 2 nights I had not seen much cleaning or wiping down of common high traffic areas like the front door. Checkout was great and the rest of the staff where amazing. They comped one night of parking for us due to this person's demeanor. Overall ok stay

Staff was very friendly. Room was clean. Plenty of places in the lobby to sit away from everyone and drink coffee alone.

We stayed in a suite, room was big and nice. Not much is open due to covid-19. They did have coffee in the room but, there was not enough cream or sugar. I was not happy that you have to pay $10 for internet. In these days I never heard of any hotel charging for internet. My son had already signed in, so too late to not get charged.

Be prepared to get nickled-and-dimed here. Room was nice, though the door handle between rooms was broken and the air conditioner was very loud. Paying $15/day for parking and $10/day for basic internet just feels like a joke in 2020, especially during COVID.

Very clean and quiet. Slept great. Got the bedroom suite was great for privacy from kid. And nice 12 noon checkout time.

They have excellent customer service. I needed extra towels and they were brought promptly. Moreover, the room was modern and clean. The elevator could be updated but was not a negative necessarily.

Clean, quiet, recently renovated, modern/tasteful decor, conveniently located, reasonably priced and staff (Craig at the front desk) is super nice and helpful. Highly recommend staying here.

For a 4 star hotel, there was not much to be desired. Hallways with trash left in them, dirty elevators, no coffee unless you pay for it at the little cafe, $30 for parking, and the ice machines broken. Now with that said, the gentleman working the coffee shop was the best! Would I stay here again? No, not when there is surrounding hotels for the same price with better accommodations and free parking.
