5Nice experience. Wonderful to hear the ocean waves crashing on shore day and night. Fun watching the surfers. Appreciate the security people driving by frequently. Nice campsites some with just electric and water and others full hookup. Super clean restrooms scattered throughout.
Staying at the “bluffs” is ideal. Having our trailer backed up to the ocean is giving us full beach camping fun and relaxation!
I have been to this campsite a few times, and love it! Quiet, and very family friendly. All the sites are located within walking distance to the beach.
San Onofre Military Beach camping. Have been coming to this area for years. Always beautiful! Unfortunately, the ocean is claiming more and more. Some beach site are gone because of high tides. The Lifeguard tower is on shaky legs. I hope they can save it. Campsites need some love, but the main hall and check-in is looking good. I hope they can bring it all back to the grand showplace it really is.
Campground has great amenities, real bathrooms with showers, lots of RV hookups, big group campsites, on the beach. Unfortunately the beach access was closed due to sand erosion, do we had to walk a ways down the road to actually access the beach. Be we had a great time and I don't know why you wouldn't have a great time also!
