It is best to park at the end of W Paseo Del Mar and walk 500 feet down Shad Pl to the beginning of the South Shore Coastal trail located at the end of Warmouth St.

Easy trail BUT can be unsafe if you're not careful. It's a 30 min round trip to the benches which most people go up to, but you can go farther if you want. Some parts along the cliff are very narrow without any barrier so you have to just be careful because there is a danger of falling. It's usually chilly so dress warmer than usual. Cell reception works just fine.

This is my go to place that my friend recommended to me years ago. It's still an overwhelming viewpoint and location if you go from the Eastside and you get to hike the cliffs. It's a great trail for beginners. The hike up the hill is great leg work. If you take it slow the hike up the hill is only about 7 to 9 minutes at a snail pace. If you push yourself, then take the hillside in minutes. Take your time and enjoy the scenery. Good luck hiking.

Beautiful hike parts were closed off due to parts of the trail getting destroyed by nature.

This place was absolutely jaw dropping this evening as the sun went down! I do wonder why there's railing where there should t be and not where there should be? Def made for a great end of the week!

Awesome seaside hiking trail. We hiked around noon. It was very hot, but the breeze helped with cooling us down a bit.

This is a beautiful hike for all skill levels. It's fairly flat and right along the ocean the entire way. I actually don't think there's a section where you can't see the water at any point along the hike. I love coming here and just decompressing.

Weekends can be crowded but if you hit it at the right time. Very peaceful and pretty, especially around sunset

Beautiful hike and relaxing place. A bench available to sit. No restrooms available unless the golf course let's you use there's. USE THE RESTROOM before arriving. Don't forget your water.

Beautiful sunset view. Be careful with smaller children. Definitely a hand holding type of hike for a sec

One of San Pedro's hidden gems. And by that, I mean the literal hidden entrance. Respect the neighborhood, park on the main street. When there's a good rain season the hills blossom in yellow wildflowers.

Nice place to go and relax after a nice hike down. It is narrow and I'd recommend good footwear. The way back up is a heart pumping climb!

You got those rough terrains and you're right by the ocean you can't ask for anything more I love it

Nice set of well maintained trails. There's a nice mix of paths with varying intensities, so if you don't like one, just choose another. The neighborhood gate gives easy access to the flatter areas if you aren't up to hiking down from 25th. The weekend was pretty crowded but folks were nice & everyone shared the trails without issue.

Like most of the hiking spots in the area, it can get uncomfortably hot in the middle of the day. Timing walks for sunrise & sunset give fantastic ocean views, plus the temperature is much milder.

Caution: some of the connecting trails have a lot of cactus. Even sticking to the center of the trail 90% of the time, I got stuck in my calf & I had to brush some spines out of the dog's fluff. (We both probably picked it up when we pulled to the side of the trail to let others pass us.) So, as much as I love the paths, I think the dogs will stay at home next time.
