I ended up leaving after going to ER for Chest pain, severe congestion, coughing for weeks. Came in around 10 am. Several tests were done while I waited in Lobby, a test that shows congestive heart failure, EKG, Chest e ray, triponin test (checks for heart attack) etc, etc, etc.the troponin test was HIGH, the chest x ray showed forming pneumonia, and the EKG showed some abnormal results and the congestive heart failure test was HIGH. ALL of these results were completed by 130pm. I have congestive heart failure, type 1 diabetes ~ brittle, lupus and myasthenia Gravis. MG is a neuromuscular disease causing weakness. Mine affects my core. I have a hard time sitting up straight for any time of length. So, I got a wheelchair, after my husband hunted fir himself, that I needed anyway to be able to leave my chair, I put my legs across the seat of the wheelchair and laid across the seat next to me and put my head in my husbands lap. A few minutes go by and the first nurse tried to take it from me for another patient. Few minutes later a angry male nurse came a literally TOOK it from me. I feel that at that exact time is the time they decided I was Never gonna receive care this day. At 4 pm we finally left. We still have not received a call due to my unstable test results. So, so, so Angry and frankly scared to go to sleep! I’m angry, but at this moment I plan on calling the public health dept, my cardiologist, the head if the ER…. I don’t care, …. The local news…. You never know!

I'm surprised about the bad review about ER and urgent care.
I have visited Santa Clara Medical Center with appointments. It take a long time and understandable with high demand. I always have tomophobia and dislike the pain. When I got in, Santa Clara nurse always give me something to numb my pain and control my anxiety. It was less painful in blood test, iv etc. So I feel they really care about the patients, even someone with anxiety or high tolerance to pain. Overall, it felt smooth and decent experiences.

I'm deeply disappointed to say that our experience at this site has been far from great. There are many things that need to be ameliorated for the safety of our patients, and our staff members alike. We were expecting a wait time of "only a few hours", but in reality, all night has passed without any update of our situation. In the waiting room, patients are not really looked out for constantly (a chair to sit in and wait is all there is), while cleanliness isn't the best where it needs to be. Staff members, it would mean a lot to many us if many of our complains we share were addressed rightly. For now, I will not be recommending this place. It would be very helpful to communicate these issues with the medical team ASAP if haven't done so already, thank you.

Don’t bother going here for the emergency room, it takes forever to get looked at. Despite the patient being in pain and vomiting in the waiting room, they wouldn’t even give them some pain medication until the doctor could take a look.

If you have an emergency don't go there.it's just overwhelmed place.i meant people that i interacted with were nice.but unable to help.give any time estimates or get medical attention which is why you went there.i need to find a place where one can actually get emergency care

Dr Gregory Auda is the worst doctor I have ever had. He is extremely unprofessional and dismissive. He acted like he did not even want to treat me. He should be fired! I tried filing a report but nothing has been done

Horrible service. They overcharged me by about $600 and would not fix it. Horrible customer service and horrible people in general. They should be shut down. Avoid at all costs.

When I got my new insurance, I called dozens of PCPs to find their soonest appointments. SCVMC told me they could schedule me for a placeholder appointment immediately, and then fit me in "very soon. " This was in October.

We are now in the middle of December. I'm now told I'll have to wait till February to be seen. I'm in urgent need of care. You'd be better off staying at home and waiting to die than calling SCVMC. You'll just be run around and stressed as well as in pain. Worthless

The wait at this center has been exceedingly long! Coming into a *Medical Center, time really counts! I had to leave because at that point it was not worth the wait. Plus, the internal infrastructure is very poor and unsanitary compared to how it looks like from the outside which is simply deceiving. I will not be coming back as long as it stays like this.

Nurses are loud and rude, overheard speaking poorly about other staff members. Very unprofessional, wouldn't have my dog taken care of there, let alone a family member. Stay Away!

Impossible to get things scheduled over the phone, and while some staff are competent and (understandably) overworked and understaffed, others are bafflingly incompetent and know nothing about their own system.

I have been @ Santa Clara valley medical center for 22 days. After suffering a broken leg bruised and punctuated ribs, and other fractures open wound aka road rash. My concern with open wound on my foot is a clean no infection! The doctors the nurses janitors have treated me like I matter and so verythankful for each every member of santa clara valley medical center. 5 stars! …….

Don't visit this ER.
They kept me waiting for 5 hours and nothing happened. Nurse were rude whenever ask them about wait-time

Essentially has been refusing to get me appoinments for about a year for new patients and when i call the woman on the answering service are pretty rude for the most part and like to make.light of the siruation or joke about it and i dont find.my health issues funny and thats why i am assuming you have a 2.5 star rating. Thats one of the lowest rankings i have seen for pretty much anything on these reviews. Maybe they should seek some refreshment training and some brush up on code of ethics. I would seek medical attention somewhere else.

I had my first, and so far only, child here and I have to say, without a doubt this was probably the most traumatic event of my entire life. I didnt feel heard, I was spoken to in a rude manner upon entering. They made me feel bad and talked down on me. I told them what pains and issues I was having after, it was all brushed off, even though it was excruciating. What should have been a beautiful event turned into a horror story. Thankfully I dont live in this area anymore so I don't go here.please save yourself the trauma and go somewhere else for literally anything if you can.
