Great flight club, personable staff & overall great experience from takeoff to landing!

This is a wonderful place! We went with a member on a flight up the coast and it was such a wonderful experience. Everyone was so professional and friendly. Seems like a great place to learn how to fly because everyone is very knowledgeable. Will definitely do again!

By far the best flight school I have ever been to. The staff was very friendly and welcoming to a first time customer. The view and atmosphere exceeded my expectations. The aircraft were in pristine condition. I will be returning to this flight school.

I started my private pilot training at SMF in January and passed my checkride about a month ago. The SMF staff is a great group of people, but the experience of a student pilot’s training is primarily based on the instructor.

Early on in my training, Scotty told me that an instructor is many things: a teacher, a friend, and a therapist. She excelled at all three by answering endless questions at any hour, enthusiastically celebrating my successes, and providing hours of guidance through many frustrations. The average instructor wouldn’t FaceTime into a checkride debrief at 2am while on vacation - but Scotty is not an average instructor. Thank for standing by my side through it all Scotty - this milestone is just as much of a testament to your hard work (and unending patience) as it is to mine!

Had a great time flying for the first time with Daniel Collier! He made me feel very safe and I was beyond satisfied.

Great place to learn how to fly. The team at SMF are welcoming, professional and highly knowledgeable; if you have flirted with the idea of flying, give them a shot. Highly recommend Jimmy for training, if he is available.

Very friendly and efficient school. Since day one you get to fly and enjoy the aircraft. Josh Jansen my instructor is super efficient and know his things and always ready to answer all my questions even by text message out of school. Such a fun way to learn and become a certified pilot.

Had an amazingly gorgeous flight around Santa Monica with some special treatment when we got to fly over the areas we told our pilot we got married with a breathtaking sunset. I felt so safe and taken care of. All questions were answered quickly. 10/10 highly recommend!

Awesome flight school, and really great people. I really appreciate the fact that they pay close attention to the airplane and check/ground them if notice anything - safety is top priority! Max and Joseph are great instructors I've worked with both of them and can definitely recommend!

We had Darrien (apologies if I misspelled his name) for the intro flight. It was a very fun experience, he made me feel as safe as I could feel considering I was really nervous lol I subtracted one star only because reception was a little disorganized which added to my nerves before the flight. But the flight turned out fun!

5 star experience! I flew with Efer over Malibu on a sightseeing flight and it was a fantastic experience. Very professional instructor and school.
