Santa Monica Pier Aquarium reviews
12Some of the fish here seem a little bored. Some tanks were crowded, imo. But the workers were friendly. A nice way to spend an afternoon, and get out of the heat.
Wow. Amazing cleaning between riders on the Asia monorail. As soon as people leave the cars, one employee goes into each car with disinfectant spray and wipes down the whole car, seats and rails.
It should not take 30 min to pay for parking at the self pay kiosk that's a rip off. It would make more sense to just pay a daily rate. Or at least put in more machines instead of just 2 for nearly 100 cars.
So glad I finally got to go here! The park is waaaayyyy bigger than I ever thought it was which rather took me by surprise. I will have to be more prepared to explore it next time I come.
Great Heal the Bay Aquarium in NYC but lacks interactive experiences for kids. Easily accessible by subway, bus, or car. The zoo can be covered in about 3-4 hours.
We love this zoo! This was our second visit this year. Wish we lived closer. We spend the whole day just taking our time to see all of the animals. Watching some longer than others. This time we were able to go back and revisit a few of our favorites.
We ate lunch this time a the pizza place. Small pizzas but where pretty good. Last time we had hamburgers. Not the greatest and sad we expect food to not be very good and cost a lot. We thought about bringing our own food this time. Thought we would try their food again.
What an incredible, unexpectedly cool place to visit. There are interactive exhibits where guests can touch starfish and sea anemones. This petite community aquarium is connected to an awesome local nonprofit called Heal the Bay that focuses on water conservation and sustainability.
Tara is a very informative, engaging interim director and I'm confident the next executive director will be just as awesome. Highly recommend coming with children!
This aquarium is very very small. However if you have young kids, it is a must see! You only pay for adults and it's only $5 per adult. There are touch and feel tanks which the kids loved and a shark tank which our oldest didn't want to leave. Place also has areas for coloring and other kid activities for young ones. Would pay more for what we received so it was a great value!
Very small and it’s also quite hidden located under the pier. There’s not much to do compared to the Aquarium of the Pacific or the Aquarium in San Pedro but if you have small kids this is a great way to introduce them to a aquarium that isn’t overcrowded. The price is fair as well since it’s only 5 dollars per adult so stop by if you’re in the neighborhood.
A small aquarium but just big enough to keep the kids preoccupied. Affordable entrance fee. Nice place, will go again in the future
Absolutely loved it here! The ladies here are awesome with the kids. Although small, kids can easily go from here to the beach and immediately connect one with the other. That all creatures small and big matter and must be cared for.
Santa Monica pier is open all the time and is packed full of people, why you can't be open every day is beyond me.
