Front desk and eric had excellent balance of helpful professionalism and personableness, and Dr Dunne is 1st rate, resourceful, and kind

Very fast, took my insurance, & conveniently filled the antibiotic prescription on site. I was in & out in 90 min during flu season the week before Christmas - never had a faster urgent care experience in my life! Everyone was very nice as well.

Unfriendly staff, long wait, very small waiting area, overcharging when no insurance. Stay away!

I had very bad lower back pain from spasms and this was the closest urgent care to me. When I walked in, the lady behind the glass was extremely quick with the paperwork, and it felt like she was moving urgently because she saw that I was in pain. The nurse/assistant had me in a room within 2 minutes of walking through the door, and she was very nice and helpful. The doctor examined very quickly, diagnosed the problem immediately, and they had me out the door with the right treatment plan in less than an hour. This was the best urgent care experience I have ever had. I would highly recommend this if you need quick and friendly care. Many thanks to this facility for making me feel better as soon as possible.

Additionally provider did not have much knowledge about STIs and prescribed poor treatments my primary care provider then had to sort of undo.

Terrible. I called and asked how long the wait time was as I was having a panic attack. The woman was rude, no empathy and said I don’t know but come now as they aren’t busy. I arrived 10 min later and she was so cold and told me it was a two hour wait- why did she just have me come in? There was no one in the waiting room or parking lot? I said but I just asked you and she advised I come in. So beyond cruel as I was already having severe anxiety. Irresponsible and unprofessional. How are you health care practice? Shame on you. Another couple walked in and she turned them away also. Don’t waste your time and sit in traffic to come to this horrible place with terrible ignorant and careless front desk staff

We were out of towners whose child didn't feel well and even though we arrived close to closing time, Dr. Dunne and the staff agreed to see us. Thank you!

I Have been very Sick for 4 days and the nurses were nice but Dr wasn't understanding. I just needed something just so I could get a little sleep and he was very rude to me.

Giving one star but should be zero. Run away it's just a money pit. The doctor didn't even examine, stood up to speak to me, didn't read my chart and was the worst I've been to. Also wanted to push medicine a lot more expensive than at the pharmacy. Horrible.

Me and my son went to Santa Monica urgent care for some health issue. They were pretty busy with a lot of patients, however they did a great job by welcoming us and helping me to fill forms. My son was a little bit irritated, but they claimed him down and make him comfortable, the manager "Evelina " took time and patiently explained about our insurance coverage, our options. Entire our visit, I did feel we are receiving VIP service, all staff were so nice and professional. Dr Parsaie also was supper friendly and knowledgeable. After examining us, Dr Parsaie explained treatment and medicines that we need. At the end a nice lady at front desk, wrote pharmacy address for me. My experience was wonderful, for sure I recommend Santa Monica Urgent Care.

This urgent care is a diamond in the rough. From the outside, it might not look fancy or high tech, but the staff are courteous and empathetic. I accompanied a disabled person there for care. The staff respected this person’s right to reasonable accommodations and were empathetic to the person’s needs. I was impressed with the understanding that the physician showed.
I hope you don’t need urgent care, but if you do, this facility is a good option.

TLDR: don’t go here unless you’re desperate. Especially if your case involves urgency

Here’s my experience:
I arrived, they said there was going to be an hour and a half wait and a 165$ co pay which already is way more expensive than what it’s worth. I’d make sure your insurance covers urgent care visits otherwise it’s completely out of pocket. They have chairs in the waiting room but they make you fill the forms out outside and wait until your name is called outside. Mind you there’s no place to sit outside at all, your essentially standing in a parking lot for the hour+ wait.

During the actual visit they need to run some tests on a machine they have which all urgent cares should have one if not multiple of these machines. This machine was broken there so they ended up needing to send tests to a lab which they said would be a 3-5 day way. If an urgent care is charging you this much they should at least have properly working medical equipment.

Called at 3 days, they said it could be up to 5. Waited until day 6 and hadn’t heard a word. Called them, they said I had put the wrong number down when they tried calling so they just put my file away. Didn’t even try reaching me any other way even though they had other forms of contact leaving me having no idea what my results were. The entire time I was sick at home just wondering if I should wait to hear from them or go to a competent urgent care.

Only redeeming part was there nurse and doctors I spoke with were nice enough but still hands down the worst urgent care I’ve been to.

The front desk/nursing staff at santa monica urgent care is great, the actual doctors though in my opinion are not great with patient care. I had a really bad case of COVID and went to see doctor William Dunne. I'm sure the guy knows what he's talking about but he certainly never made me feel like he cared about my wellbeing during the actual appointment or afterwards.

Dr. Dunne put me on Paxlovid, which is a new COVID antiviral. When we went to go pick up my prescriptions at the pharmacy, we had to wait over an hour because the doctor didn't send it over right away and he also prescribed a steroid that you apparently can't take with the paxlovid (which he didnt tell me during our appointment, so this made me concerned and forced me to follow up with the office)

The post follow up was basically non-existent and so I had to proactively call the office to get his attention. I had some concerns about the side effects I was experiencing from Paxlovid, and he did almost nothing to reassure me of anything on our call, and then just hastily hung up.with that, don't think I'll be returning.

Very nice staff. Ashley takes care of me.everyone were very pleasant.and the Doctor were very nice too.
