Santana Heights Apartments, San Jose CA

Main main main reason I am writing this review is because of our parking issues!
Been here almost 2 years lease is due soon and can’t wait to move out!
Management is terrible they never contact you back I’ve emailed and left several messages in person and over the phone with the office and none of the managers there bother to call back!

I’ve lived in several apartment complexes and when you have 1 parking space reserved to you it means it is your parking and any other cars will be towed away ASAP and it happened.
But HERE? We live in a gated complex in Santana Heights where we have 1 parking space to us per tenant as indicated in our lease, No matter of the time of the day or night we must have 1 empty for us when we come home!

Many many many times random people will come through the gate and park like you can even have bunch of friends come take your parking for hours without being towed away! When We have contacted the securities they say we get orders from the office and we’re not allowed to tow cars unless we have logged the same random vehicle parked more than 3 times in our system and I’ve showed them same cars being logged into their system then they refer you to the office again and they would only come put a tow sign but again will never be towed, It’s all a show!

They keep putting citations on the cars over and over which is pointless.
Office doesn’t care AT ALL no matter of how many times you complain they say we can’t just tow cars even if it is a private parking and even if we’re paying 5000 rent can’t even have a parking space.
I don’t know for what reason they don’t tow them who knows!

We have another parking for tenants in a different building top of the security office and the gym which we also have 1 space reserved to us they have a big tow away sign at the entrance and when you tell them how come you don’t tow cars they come up with same weird odd reasons so what is the point of the sign? And how come you don’t put that same big sign for this parking?

If you work night shifts do NOT live here as construction is never ending here!
They start at 7 am extremely early and they told me they have indicated the start time in our lease literally at 7 am!
Some workers will talk so loud early mornings careless about people resting.

Many break ins happened here and also a few bicycles stolen from our secured gated complex in a luxury Santana Row including mine for 1500.00!
Where are all the securities? How come they won’t even bother to look at the cameras when we complain?

Water shutoffs;
Used to shut the water off 3-4 times a month and now reduced to once or twice a month which is inconvenient and this is been on going for almost 2 years now!

Neighbors in general have complained as well and at the end life goes on with the same issues!

There are trade-offs in every choice, especially in housing. My experience at Santana Heights has been a good one; great location to dining and shopping options, beautiful amenities like grills and a pool.

We have been living in Santana Row for almost 10 years. We first lived in Serrano, then Levare, Misora, we moved back to Serrano/Santana Heights last March in the midst of Covid-19.
Grey Star Property Management has been extremely helpful in fulfilling whatever we need, wether it’s Maintenance, Concierge service or Leasing Office requests. Destiny Bushnell snd (General Manager) is the best I have ever dealt with. The staff is welcoming, friendly, professional and highly efficient. The energy is always positive. I highly recommend living at Santana Height/ Serrano. We love the community and the kindness it shows us.

Stephanie at the SR leasing office is always very professional, helpful and very knowledgeable.

I moved into my home about a week ago and from the very beginning Bella and Eli have been fantastic! This entire time, they have been flexible and knowledgeable about the homes. Bella showed me quite a few homes and really tried to understand what was important to me so that we wouldn’t waste time seeing anything I wouldn’t be in love with. Eli made sure my move in was as seamless as possible. Even after I moved in, they’ve been extremely willing to help and make sure my family and I are happy. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in Santana Row living!

Stephanie Colbert was incredibly helpful in facilitating the transfer of an oversized package. The support and attentiveness of the Santana Row Leasing Office is consistently excellent, but this was a more positive experience than usual.

Simone is simply the best! I have been renting at Serrano for almost 4 years and I have been blown away by the level of service provided by the entire team at the leasing office. If you're looking for a new place, I cannot recommend Santana Row enough! The amenities are incredible, gorgeous apartments and the on-site maintenance is absolutely wonderful!

Excellent complex and wonderful leasing staff. Everyone here has always been so kind. I thought that it would be hard to call a place home but we have. The facility is top notch along with all the amenities. Theres not much to complain. Also when we needed anything from the leasing office they have always gotten back to us in a timely manner, been helpful in maintenance and mail requests, thoroughly explained things down to silly questions about rent etc.

I have been living in Santana Heights for a few years and enjoyed this great place and its proximity to fantastic amenities.
In addition, it is a pleasure to deal with the members of the staff who are always helpful and friendly.
Recently I interacted with the assistant community manager, Talia Stephen, whose professionalism is motivational.

Top notch place to live. Be sure to stop by the leasing office in December/January as they have the highest amount of turnover around then (and thus lower prices). All the amenities are unbelievable and staff is very friendly. When bringing friends over to my townhouse they're always shocked how nice of an area it is and how convenient it is to be so close to the Row. It's also been extraordinarily convenient to be able to walk down and get presents/alcohol on a moments notice if I need to go to a last minute event.

Annamarie and Nickolina were both fantastic and went above and beyond what they needed to do to make my move as smooth as possible. I would highly recommend using them if you ever plan on moving to Santana Row. They answered any and all of my questions and continued to check on me during my transition to the community. Great experience!

I am a current resident and had a great experience with the entire staff, especially Annamarie Rodriguez. She was very patient and professional. She showed me several units until we found the right one to fit my needs. She also made good recommendations for other local services to help with my move.

Jasmine was FABULOUS! Always very pleasant to deal with. She is very customer focused and friendly. Pls hire more people like her!

Santana row is the place of happenings. A smal place with a big city feeling. The management of Santana Heights Apartments are professional and helpful. Specially Talia, Jasmine, Annamarie and Christina who are always there and always helpful.

Now that I'm all moved in and settle, I couldn't be any happier living in Santana Row. My move-in experience was nothing short of class. The leasing office staff provided excellent customer service and went out of their way to ensure that I was taken care of. Shout out to Annamarie! She provided such a wonderful experience while giving me a tour. I told her exactly what I wanted, she articulated my needs and provided exactly that! My apartment is everything I asked for and then some! Since moving in, I've been up and running ever since. There is always something to do in Santana Row and I will say, that the decision to move there has been the best. Also, show out to the concierge staff in Misora for their stellar customer service!

Love the environment and the people, neighbors. Wonderful lounge areas especially Jen and Nick our concierge. They are awesome people with great personalities and very friendly and helpful. We do need more people like them to work here.

Annamarie from the leasing office was very helpful with finding the right apartment at the right price. She gave me a tour of the apartments and informed me that she would follow up with me if any opened up in the price range i was looking for. She did and was very prompt in helping me compete the paper. It was nice to have someone from leasing be patient and attentive as this was a important decision that required many thing to be appropriate.

Been living here at SR since Nov 2013 never a moment I have entertained that I'd leave and go somewhere else. The people at the concierge are immensely my fave. They are customer oriented people. Special shout out to people like Jennifer, Jasmin, Simone and Nicolina.

Ive lived in santana heights since 2009. I love living here! Jennifer the concierge is amazing, she throws the best resident wine events! Simone has always been friendly and helpful in the office as well!
