Santana's Mexican Food

I've never been to a Mexican restaurant where the rice, beans, and burrito were all bad. The salsa could've been good, but they seemed to water it down, so there was more of it. The TV in the background was way too loud. For the prices of their food I expected better.

I keep going back because the workers here are so incredibly nice, the prices are reasonable, and there are more vegetarian options here than their competitors. However, the closing hours are more of a "suggestion" than actual reality. If you're a night owl, be forewarned that the place may be closed up to 1.5 hours earlier than the hours posted state. For example, I went to the drive-thru on a Thursday at 10pm and the place was already closed even though the posted hours say closing is 11: 30pm.

Im honestly just giving a 4 star because the food still good but the salsas omg whoever is making them needs to refer to the recipe book. I thought the salsa brava had green tomatillos but seems like it only has straight burnt chillies. I nearly passed threw up from the burnt taste. It used to be spicy but now its imma give u heart burn then imma make u taste the spice and then if ur lucky ill let u taste your food. Whoever thought that salsas were meant to ruin your food needs to not be in the food industry. Please someone come get this cook and have them just take orders at register please for the love of God. I want my esophagus back. Lol nah but for real tho!

Slowest drive thru ever. Despite taking all that time, they still can't take your order correctly or even confirm that they received it. Avoid this location.

Saddest beef taco experience. Supposed to come with at least cheese and lettuce. I added sour cream. Came with broken taco shell, and lettuce only. No beef. No cheese. No sour cream. Received a refund.

Great food and staff. Always a pleasant experience and good food. All their salsas are excellent!

Love a "taco shop" that has a drive thru! And I love it when they hand me my food and the guys says "OK - see you tomorrow". I like the shrimp burrito, the 3 floutas with all the fixings or if I'm there in the morning I'll go with the chorizo breakfast burrito - my daughter likes the buenas dias without potatoes.

This was such a disrespectful visit to Santana’s. We ordered taquitos, we were given street tacos, and we were told they were taquitos. I’m sure they had quite the laugh. Will never return.

I had the Pancho burrito (eggs, ham, cheddar cheese and homemade fries). Fast and friendly service. They have a drive thru. I've been there many times and the service is always tip top.

One of the better Mexican shops in the area. Love their Quesomush, Carne Asada Chips or Fries. Their Buenos Dias Burrito is fire. I like the way their Tomatio sauce is over any other restaurant.

Yikes! So their burritos are waaaay overpriced for what you get. I definitely didn't order a taquito for 11 bucks. Not to mention they are incredibly stingy with their salsa.

Sombreros is in the same parking lot so just go there instead. I know I will.

I always get the Carne Asada Fries or California Burrito and it’s so good with there Salsa Verde salsa! But, I got the Breakfast Burrito with Carne Asada the other day and when I tell you it was the best burrito I ever had! Omg! Best Mexican Restaurant hands down!

Meat and seafood are solid all around, great spot for a pickup and value meal with the drive-thru.

Went to get Froyo next door but you can use their bathroom you can't go wrong with Santana's

We didn't go there we went next door to get some Froyo but we were told we can use the restroom so go there and go there too

The staff is super rude. The food is nowhere near good enough to justify being treated that way. This was the scripps Poway location
