I received the flyer for Santee Music Academy through Rio Seco's Peachjar application. Our child is 5 years old so we wanted to give him a couple options and he chose Piano. Everyone there has been so nice, professional and they are very good about communication, confirming lesson dates/times and offering re-schedules if needed. The cost is very good, their reschedule policy is excellent, clean and updated inside, central location, ample parking an added plus is that they do instrument rental (keyboard in this case). I will most likely end up purchasing our own but with the age, we wanted to be sure he was interested enough and liked the lessons and instrument. HIGHLY recommend! I am sure they are great for any age, I just know for a 5 year old this is a perfect way to gauge interest in music!

My son has begun taking private guitar lessons remotely with Andrew for the past month. So far he is really excited about his experience and feels he is learning a lot and being challenged. The Academy has been very professional and sent reminders for his remote lessons. We are looking forward to making the transition to being in the studio soon.

My son and I are very happy with our experience here. I was looking for a place where my son could take ukulele/guitar lessons that had later hours as I work full time. This led me to Santee Music Academy. My son's teacher Andrew is so kind and patient and my son really feels comfortable with him. My daughter has been attending SMA for ukulele lessons for about three months. SMA has exceeded all of our expectations, and we look forward to our weekly visits. The front office staff is always very welcoming and helpful, they communicate with me weekly to remind me of my upcoming lesson; very conveniently through text message communication. The director Brandon is very knowledgeable and truly cares about his customers and their experiences. Lastly, our instructor Jasmine is FANTASTIC with my seven-year-old daughter. She is so very talented, and my daughter leaves every week with new skills. We are so happy with SMA and would recommend their services to anyone.

Mat Busike is an awesome guitar instructor. He's very methodical in his teaching of chords. Mat has a very patient way of teaching. He also taught me how to hold the guitar for the best results, as well as teaching me the musical scale, and also showing me how to get the sound right when playing. He even knew the song I had in mind when first coming in. Mat is very professional. He's also a very talented guitarist. You couldn't find a better instructor than Mat. I will resume more lessons when my schedule permits & will definitely be taking them again from Mat.
