SAP Center at San Jose reviews
17Went to the SAP Center for the first time today for the Jurassic World Live Tour. The show was amazing (btw) and the facility wasn't bad to navigate. If you have a handicap place card, they made it super easy with signs and were able to park very close (atleast for this event anyways). We sat in some mobile stadium seats that were on top of some metal stairs. A lil sad the hand rail didn't go all they way down onto these metal stairs however we survived.
The arena is very nice but the staff could be a little more friendly. I've been there several times for events and never had anyone as rude as I did today check me in. She was having a hard time scanning the tickets, grabbed my phone from me, and gave me a dirty look. That lady seriously needed a chill pill.
I think it's a huge, very organized place but the truth is that the whole shirt and drinks are very expensive at the price of a restaurant with a Michelin star
Great venue for a concert or sports event. All concessions are paid by card, no cash accepted. Tickets to attend an event are digital.
I live just a short walk away and it’s a great venue. I’ve worked for venues for years and always feel safe here. The employees always pay attention to things around them. It’s just the right size that any seat is a good seat here. I’ve gone for a concert back in December, a hockey game, and Disney on ice. You can also pay a little less by going to the box office to buy tickets.
Update: Watch out in what section you buy for. Sat in section 120 last night for Blink 182 and the leg room was worse then a spirit airline flight. I was in shock I’ve never seen a venue with leg room that bad. I don’t remember the previous event I attended having space that little. Will definitely make me think twice about coming to another show. If we’re paying the amount of money and fees we do to attend live events we should at the very least not feel like we’re sitting with our knees to our chests
A good arena with decent concessions around the rink. The downtown area is about a mile or two away so there are plenty of restaurants to eat at before an event. Ideal to park by the arena and walk to the downtown area and then come back for the event. Parking is fine and they have many other lots several blocks out from the arena. This is highly suggested as it will be easier to get out of the area once the event is over.
Great venue for a show or game. Harder to get into the venue than get out. Seat layout is atrocious and any time you get up everyone has to move.
For shows with floor seating, the seats are terrible. Small and narrow, cushion is barely there. You either stand the whole night or your back will hate you.
Great venue for many sporting and entertainment events. It's a bit on the smaller scale, but still plenty big to house a large number of attendees. Located right near downtown between long strips of shopping and restaurants all within walking distance. I consider it a prime location.
Sap center in San Jose was great had a good time at the Bay area Panthers arena football game. Tickets are reasonable depending on where you sit and it's a fast face game had fun.
There's bag restrictions which is not indicated on the ticket or concert page. Cost $10 to rent a box. Even the staff managing the rental box agreed no information was posted in advance. Saw a lady put her bag in the trash bin before entering.
FANTASTIC time last night at the SAP Center (Shark Tank, for those of use from the SF East Bay) seeing Duran Duran! Venue was great but I've been here before other events. This time tho, we paid extra for the "Jack Daniel's Lounge" before the show for a "special experience"w/food & drinks & early entry. We were celebrating our Birthdays. It was really worth it. Food was WAY better than I expected. They said "appetizers" on the ticket but what they served was more like a meal. Had a regular single bar, but also 3 "themed" drinks related to DD songs. And I have to say, our seats were EXCELLENT! (thank you, Ticketmaster) As a LONG TIME DD Fan (since 1982), these were some of the best we've had in a long time. DD was EPIC & it was awesome seeing Nile Rogers & CHIC for the 1st time live.
I attended the Pathers Arena Football Game. It's a wonderful experience and I will recommend those with kids to bring them out to enjoy a fun family event. Their mascot Claw does lots to interact with the audience. They also do lots of giveaways of t-shirts and pizza dash cam. Also when they kick the extra points the fans can catch the football to keep as a momento. It was a fun time and I will definitely be back.
Loved it had the Jack Daniel's vip experience got to skip the line and enter through the lounge entrance soo soo much faster Jo Koy Funny as hell loved the show great experience unfortunately no photography
Date night with Jo Koy at the Shark Tank. I’ve been here for concerts, hockey, and an assortment of events and have always been pleased with the helpfulness of the staff and the speed at which entry lines move.
Can’t make any positive comments regarding food and parking, as it is common to overprice both these days, sadly. It’s just the times we are living in and capitalism at it’s worst (for the consumer.)
But I can recommend free street parking if you’re not intimidated by a six minute walk. Not to mention that during that walk, there is an absolutely decisions Taphouse that serves great beer and DELICIOUS tacos, both of which are an absolutely steal compared to the prices at the Tank. Oh, and Jo Koy KILLED IT.
Great place to watch a game. Good variety of food, beers and cocktails. Very expensive like any other arena but always a good time.
This facility is amazing. I visited for a few hockey games and other events. My experience with the employees running the facility has been so helpful and professional. The stadium is in great condition, and the seating area is very comfortable. I am so glad the sharks signed a new 5 year deal with the SAP Center. Keep up the great work
Great in game experience but the security entering the arena doesn't add to the experience. The arbitrary maximum purse size makes zero sense. Security checks the contents of the bag and has the ability to x-ray it, what else could the issue be? I can understand having a maximum size of a bag being brought in, but a purse?
