Sardina's Italian Restaurant and Bar reviews
15This is very American Italian food. Similar to other places like Felipe's. The garlic cheese bread was pretty dry. The house salad was ok but mostly lettuce either a few carrots and micro slices of cabbage and like an eighth of a tomato. Didn't have any balsamic dressing options. Just plain oil and vinegar. The veggie primavera pasta had a nice amount of vegetables but was bland. The mushroom, artichoke and sun dried tomato appetizer was very good though. Calzones were gigantic. Like 3 days it's food. Though I did not taste them. My son's looked a bit over baked. Service was ok given our largeish party. Nice outdoor patio.
'Been coming here with my gal for 11+ yrs. They are the nicest people and have longtime employees. Great svc, great food and a fantastic reputation.
It feels very cozy and the place is very friendly and helpful. Service is fast and courteous.
So i love sardinas been coming here for 30 years, I've owned a restaurant, get the sunday night crew some help please!
Loved the food, atmosphere, and service. Will definitely return the next time we are in San Diego. Thank you for taking care of us Gabby
Amazing food. Extremely friendly staff. Lovely Italian-style decor.
Lasagna Bolognese & Meat Lover’s Pizza, divine. Great wine selection.
Dinner was excellent. Even though we got it to go the pizza, chicken piccata, and cannoli were all delicious. The staff were kind, helpful and efficient.
I made reservations a couple months out for my mom's 85th Birthday, only to arrive without our table ready for the front patio. The female server told us we could not get happy hour prices on large parties or reservations. We were there a few weeks earlier with no problem. She said she's been working there for about a year and it's been awhile since they did it. With relatives driving down from Los Angeles, we had no choice but to get a table in the back patio. Everyone received their food except for my Grandson. I asked for it and never got it. I told the waitress to take it off the bill. My fruitti mare was bitter from burned garlic, and the chicken piccatta was flavorless and over cooked. We got our bill and my grandson's meal wasn't taken off the bill. I went inside to get it taken care of. The girl that seated us earlier looked at me and asked "What do you want? " I was shocked the way she spoke to me. I asked her "What do I want? " She repeated it again. I should have told her to change her attitude, but I was so mad, I kept my mouth shut. I've been eating there for years with my family and friends. I've never been so upset with my experience on this big birthday celebration.
We really enjoyed the happy hour with a full carafe of chianti and a pizza to share. It is a lively crowd on a Friday afternoon. There is a real fly issue of you hate flies. But it's better inside vs the patio.
This is a no thrills, family run, neighborhood, Italian restaurant.
Food is great! Huge portions for the price. Nothing on menu has ever disappointed.
It can be loud and crowded at times, not the typical "romantic" Italian restaurant. This is where you bring your wife, not your girlfriend.
Parking can be difficult, but there is a second back lot! And you'll want to take the short walk after dinner to help digest.
I recommend this spot. It's a small quaint neighborhood spot with good food! I got a vegetable calzone & it was HUUUGE! I don't think I ate half of it!
It's been awhile coming here, but glad we did. Happy Hour, great prices, great choices.we'll be going again.
Wow! Awesome food! Excellent service! Great for kids and the whole family! Great place to eat.
Amazing food and atmosphere! I have been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid so 30+ years and have never been disappointed!
I'd been craving mussels for some time and happened to drive by this spot after work. 10/10 exactly what I wanted- and on the Happy Hour Menu! I didn't order off of the regular menu but the HH portions were large and the drinks were stiff! I will be back soon.
