Sardine Lake Campground reviews
7Drive in camping, hiking and lakes nearby. Caught some trout and had great views of the mountains.
Great place. The only issue is that if people are being very loud, no one will stop them. It's just a short walk to to the watering hole for swimming or to Sardine Lake for fishing. Had a lot of fun camping here.
The lake had lots of seaweed and I saw a few small snakes. The campsites were a little small. There was a faucet which was great. Lots of trails nearby if you like hiking. There was also a place for fishing, but you would need a boat if you wanted to catch any fish. Other than that this was a great place. The mornings are very peaceful and quiet and the scenery is beautiful.
Awesome campground as a basecamp for alpine adventure. Stayed there the first week of November for free.
We go to this campground ever year! So beautiful and nice. We don't recommend going in the summer, but beginning of fall. (Its not as busy) the campgrounds are so nice, the lake is gorgeous and the weather is usually very nice up untill November.
Great campground if you have younger kids. Place usually is packed on weekends and if you have a center spot on the west end there isn't much privacy. Sardune, lake is great for fishing. The campground has water but this weekend it must had had an issue with the system as it was all posted do not drink. Recommend hauling water or calling forest set ice for status of potable water
Great place in the Foothills.close to Sand pond, Upper/Lower Sardine lake. Lots to do, and the starting point for a great hike to the Buttes fire lookout tower!
