Sarku Japan at Westfield Oakridge Mall pleasantly surprised me despite my initial reservations about mall restaurants. The outdoor seating area is a nice touch, providing a comfortable dining space. Upon entering, we were promptly shown to our seats, but unfortunately, the service got off to a slow start, taking over 15 minutes to bring us water, even though there was only one more table they were serving. Improved service would be a welcome enhancement.

Now, let's talk about the food. The noodles were the highlight of our visit, boasting exceptional flavors that exceeded our expectations. We sampled two different noodle dishes and a bun, all of which were super tasty and left us craving more.

The restaurant's interior was pleasant, and the restroom was clean, which added to the overall positive experience.

Despite the service hiccup, I'd be inclined to return to Sarku Japan for the delicious food alone. It's a testament to the quality of their dishes that I'd be willing to overlook a bit of a service lapse for another chance to savor their wonderful cuisine.

The chicken teriyaki was still great and is the best amongst all the Sarku’s in the bay area in my opinion. However, their price have gone up and their serving have significantly become so little now. Even their extra chicken serving is so small now. Will I still go back? Once in a while maybe but no longer every time I go to Oakridge mall.

SO DISGUSTING! *USED* TO BE THE *BEST* IN THE FOOD COURT!

The NEW staff is UNTRAINED and horrible!

First of all, I ordered triple chicken, which is what I always do. This is the first time I had to *ask* for the first third portion. If I wasn't watching I would have been RIPPED OFF!

Some chicken was OVERCOOKED, dried out, and gross and some was UNDERCOOKED. Some of the meat was so undercooked I had to spit it out. That's just DANGEROUS!

The noodles were UNDERCOOKED!

The vegetables were OVERCOOKED and SOGGY!

I mean I've had some not so great experiences at Sarku Japan, that's how it is when you go to somewhere a lot, occasional problems. But it WAS overall great, so my family and I were going for years, until now.

This by far, was at least tenfold, the WORST EXPERIENCE I've ever had at Sarku Japan.

My family and I won't be going for quite a while. Maybe if they have the samples again (way in the future, after I get this experience out of my head), I'd try it but other than that I'm nauseated just thinking about the place now.

This place used to be my go to, but they get worst each time I go. The servers are rude. I paid for 2x extra chicken but still got a regular one compared to my friends regular plate. They ripped me off each time I go and I get less chicken all the time. Next time Im ordering just chicken no rice no veggies and see if it makes a difference. Even when you order just one order of extra chicken they give small portions. Doesn't make sense and not worth the wait. And my friend got food poisoning from them after she was done and threw up.

YO
Do you like authentic food that's more than pandashit? Ask for extra meat and extra sauce, you'll be in heaven, say less
