Satkar Indian Cuisine reviews
18The food is delicious and always fresh. Only drawback is that it takes a Really long time, and they have reduced their hours now too.
I like really spicy curry. It's hard to find a place that can make it as spicy as I like it, but they nailed it on my first time there. Friendly family and great food. Glad I stopped in.
5 stars for the taste and freshness of the food. The only way to order is over the phone. This however requires a lot of time and patience as it can take over 6 - 10 calls before they actually pick up the phone.
Hands down the best North Indian food. Chicken korma and shahi paneer are delicious. Call them to order ahead as they give you a specific pickup time (they're super punctual) and it might be 1-2 hour later. So always plan ahead, but food is every bit worth the wait. I have a craving every once a week. Prices are reasonable and great customer service! Their naan is freshly made and melts in the mouth.
Must have: everything on the menu!
Easily my favorite Indian food on the Peninsula. Absolutely worth the sometimes long wait times. Great veggie options, the Navaratan Korma is my favorite.
I've tried so much of their menu and everything is delicious. By far the best naan I've had. The wait can be long sometimes but it's well worth it.
Totally totally legit and delicious. Ordered a bunch of different entrées and appetizers and literally everything was excellent. Love the mom and pop hole in the wall vibe and down to earth service too.
Nice customer service and delicious food. The clerk take the food for me while I am waiting outside. Appreciate she makes sure to give me the food as soon as it’s ready.
The best authentic north Indian food in the area. Take out only at the moment which is what I normally do. Samosas, karai chicken and chicken masala are excellent. My go to place all the way from Palo Alto.
North Indian curries are their specialities. Both for curry and gravy, they can be put in top ten list of Indian restaurants in Bay Area. But always ask for their reservation, because it is always busy. And make sure to go in small group, because the place is little congested. Other than the specialities, you can order stuffed paratha and non-vegetarian starters for there or to-go, either way.
Poor customer service. Sneaky tricks and poor communication lend to a sad experience. Unfortunate. Hope you guys can figure out the customer service angle on the bus. Tough times in the world to offer substandard service
Love spicy Malai kofta. We just order this one every few weeks. Whenever we want to eat something nice, and don't want to take risk of a new place, that where we go.
My husband likes baingan bharta too.
I frequent this superb place many times as I love the ambiance that is outline this place. The staff is extremely welcoming and qualified. The service is exceptionally quick. Needless to say, the food you eat is perfect. I ate there many times and I was always happy. The pay is decent. I recommend this place to to all.
Awesome Indian Punjabi food. They provide Indian bad with curry which is enough for 1 person. We tried palak paneer, Malai kofta, kadhai paneer and samosa chat. All is worth trying.
Excellent rogan josh.however for dinner they get flooded with orders. Expect an hour wait from when you call to pickup unless you catch opening for dinner. Otherwise food is 5 stars.
Got take out here during covid19. Boyfriend and I really enjoyed it. Great food! Take out time was a little long, about an hour and a half from when I called but it was well worth it. We tried the aloo tikka chaat, Karachi chicken, garlic naan and mutter paneer. I read some of the reviews here and went with the medium spice level for the first time but I would prefer more spice. Boyfriend also felt medium spice level was a little more mild than his preference. Next time we will go spicier. We will definitely be back and look forward to dining inside after everything goes back to normal.
Satkar continues to deliver quality Indian dishes during Covid-19, while exercising social distancing. Order ahead and watch for their timings.
I'm usually a big fan of their food, but during this lock down even they are cutting corners. Last week we ordered naans and some curries. Naans were very hard like papads. My kids couldn't eat it at all. I'm sure they gave us day old naans. Not going there again until lockdown ends.
