Savoie Italian Eatery reviews
14When our party of 8 entered the restaurant on 1/2/23, we were told there was only one waiter working. We only waited 30 minutes to get seated. I figured we would have to wait even longer to get our food served to us, but there was an awesome team of people who helped to serve the food. Our appetizers came to the table within 10 minutes of us ordering. The meals came not too long afterward. I had the lobster ravioli which was very tasty. My husband had the short rib lasagna which he said was delicious. Despite how short staffed they were, the staff working tonight were very professional, friendly and held it together very well considering how busy it was. Did not show us how stressed they should have been. Great ambiance, beautifully decorated. I would highly recommend.
I personally think its pricey, and the food Its just ok!
And the couple singing get loud sometimes
But go give a shot and judge for yourself.
It's fine overall.
I wish they'd add new happy hour food variety but what they currently have is good
It's just if you go alot you want to try different things is all
My guess is that it's the NEW normal. Restaurants adding the 20% gratuity to the bill as a 'service fee, ' THEN asking for an additional tip after the fact. The problem my wife & I have with Savoie is that their WEBSITE states that an 18% gratuity is added to large parties (i.e, 8 or more). Our party was SEVEN, and they still added a 20% gratuity right off the top. My wife and I asked why it was that way, and after speaking to both our waitress and the manager, it was finally removed. We couldn't help but wonder if their reasoning was that since we were BLACK, we wouldn't tip (a negative stereotype that we constantly fight against), so they would just try to sneak it in without us noticing. We ended up tipping 18% anyway, because it was never about the money. It was just about people treating EVERYONE with the same love & consideration they would like to be treated with in return. Is that too much to ask Savoie?
Place is nice also have a full cocktail bar. Anyway they don’t serve Italian food just imitation.
Had dinner three times and every time was a let down. Way too overpriced and overrated for the quality of food. We’ve ordered calamari several times ($19 starter) and each time it’s 60% breading and 40% bland, tasteless calamari. For the dipping sauce, we were given marinara sauce. Sad and wrong for a calamari dish. Even their $22 burger (which is hard to mess up) did not have a good taste nor did the meat look appetizing. Pizza was…uninspiring.
Cocktails are mediocre and through the roof expensive ($19 margaritas, ouch) Which explains why almost everyone is ordering beers. They should switch out DJs as well for the weekend music. He’ll play “Suavemente, Besame” around three times in a night. Boring.
So to sum it up after a couple of visits:
Overpriced food and drinks with repetitive Elvis Crespo songs.
We had a party of 10 people and another waiter that wasn't even helping us kicked us out from our table. We ordered many drinks and I had to search for the waitress to get my check. She didn't even know that we were kicked out.
Food was good. Was there for breakfast. Need to go back sometime soon to try the dinner menu. And I will go back.
I have come to this place a few times since they open up a few years back. The number one thing that keeps bringing me back to the place is the fact that the people that works there are super nice, polite, respectful, nice and kind. They get very busy especially when they do. As when I come with my wife we like it but it's not a place that we frequent very much. We have experience their environment or they have parties because our office likes to do parties there and it's not bad again the main part is the service they are so so good to take care of people that actually comes into the place. They never stop smiling and no matter how crazy the request is for a drink or for a particular food in their menu and the changes they still help you and they do it. When it comes to food I am not 100%. It's good yet not for me. Please don't let this stop you from going. The place is nice. I go for the environment and the ambiance as going out with my wife to celebrate something special. There is a handicap parking lot very close to it, they are handicap accesses, they do cater to children, they do have children high chairs. The place is always neat and tidy and very clean.
Visited on thanksgiving day's eve, warm and cozy environment, loved the live music.gorgonzola pear pizza was so flavorful.would definitely recommend
Omg! One of the best services I have received. Maria was my server last night but her including other servers made sure I was taken care of all night. They made me feel so welcomed and the food was great! I def will be coming back
I liked the atmosphere. The waiter was friendly, food was ok. Stopped by for brunch and wasn’t disappointed.
We go there every Sunday morning with my family for breakfast. Their souffle pancakes are the best and veggie omelette. Very relaxing place. We go there around 9 before it gets crowded amazing way to start your day
First time for me to have dinner with friends. I ordered the Prime Rib eye and my friend ordered chicken fettuccine. The food was too bland. It had no taste. We had to ask for some salt to add flavor to their food. Very disappointed, fir the amount of money we spent, it was not worth it!
