Sayulitas Mexican Food San Diego reviews
15I love their carne asada fries it’s always filled to the brim however lately when I order them the fries have been soggy not fully fried. So I would recommend you to mention you want them fully fried. But overall it’s my favorite place for carne asada. Their customer service could also improve.
I recently dined at Sayulitas in San Diego and had a delightful meal. I ordered a combination of 3 carne asada tacos, a fish taco, and their Pacman Fries. The flavors in every dish were bold and savory, making it a truly enjoyable experience. The fish tacos were a highlight with their delicious taste and generous portions. While the carne asada tacos were good, the meat was a bit on the dry side, but still quite tasty. I also tried their three main salsas, and each one was a winner. Be cautious with the orange sauce, as it packs an unexpected kick.
Now, let's talk about the Pacman Fries – they are an absolute must-try! These fries are loaded with bold flavors that make you question whether it's gluttony to finish the entire tray in one go or a sin not to. They're that good! Even when reheated the following day, the combination of avocado and sour cream remained delicious. Overall, Sayulitas offers a delightful culinary experience that I highly recommend.
Great foodb, awsome service, but they do need to change their online prices, what you see online, it's not what the true price is so don't go based off of online prices
Ordered a pollo asado torta. Kind of bland. Fries were kind of bland. I ordered on grubhub and wanted a bottled coke and got orange fanta instead which sucks cuz I hate orange fanta.
VOLCANO TOTS ARE AMAZING! Only downside to this place is that the prices have recently gone up quite a bit. The big burritos used to be $16 and are now $23+ still worth the price as they are big enough for 2 people to eat for 2 or 3 meals.
Probably the worst Mexican food I've had in San Diego. Just because you give me a lot of a mediocre thing, doesn't make it better.
The food here is amazing! The bad part here is the costumer service. The cashier has the worst attitude I’ve seen in my life. She genuinely looks like she hates being there and makes sure you know how unhappy she is. I no longer est in the shop just order to go because her attitude ruins the meal. I really hope management changes her to a different position or trains her properly.
So, the portions are huge but just because they are massive doesn't mean the food is good. I ordered the asada fries and the asadas quantity to the fries was so little and a lot of it was fatty and inedible. There were so many dry fries underneath. They should have done layers of cheese and toppings if they were going to give that much food. Same goes for the Cali burrito. So many fries that were dry and terrible quality meat. I spent over 40 bucks here and I would NOT do it again.
The quantity of the beef was awesome and the salsa were very tasty but my burrito was mostly fries and smallest amount of carne asada.not getting that again.best bet to avoid that would be a taco or some thing similar. F. Y. I
It was my first time here, and I was impressed. They have a great variety of food. The menu is easy to read, and the combinations are a little different. The flavor was on point. Can't wait to go back and try something else.
I stopped in on Friday 4/7/23 around 1030 or 11 am. I stood at the register and waited to place my order while the cashier was hunched over the counter watching videos on her phone and facing the opposite direction. Absolutely not the impression you want to give a first time patron. I got the breakfast burrito #4, it wasn’t horrible. What I noticed was that the cheese wasn’t melted and the food wasn’t hot off the burner. I parked directly in front of the restaurant and ate in my van. There was no time for the food to get cold. They offer many options for salsa, my biggest turn off…the cashier.
Epic portions of very tasty burritos. The little shop is a bit dumpy. And the service was mediocre. But wow what great burritos. My carnitas burrito had good flavor and was packed with meat. My wife's beef burrito was even better. Great flavor. And the salsa bar was filled with a variety of flavorful sauces. I'm glad this place is not near my home or I'd eat there every week. I will return.
I bought a burrito with hot Cheetos and carne asada fries with hot Cheetos and it was all well integrated and the crane was well cooked
Those carne asada fries were just enough to feed all the kids and the adults shared the burrito.
The truth is terrible, the burrito had the potatoes all cold and stiff like when they have been fried for a long time.my money wasted in the trash, I really don't recommend it.a California of pure potatoes
