Ever since I moved back to LA from London I struggled to find an acting class that resonated with me. Tom's class allows you the safe space to take chances and take ownership of your work. There is no generic formula that is given to each actor. Each actor is given specific attention to where they are what their goals are for their work. My schedule is very busy but I gain so much from Tom's class that I carve out that time each week to make sure I can continue to make new discoveries with the support of Tom.

Tom's the real deal. Can't say enough great things. Working on-camera with a skilled Director has made a huge difference in a short period of time. His notes are clear and constructive. And I feel like he's invested in my personal success. We identify specific things to work on and then we attack together. And all of this has made me feel very comfortable and confident in the room. I see the difference in my work and so do others! Bonus, he's just an all-around great guy with a very real, genuine east coast sensibility and that's very positive to be around. Thank you, Tom!

Tom's classes mesh the familiar intensity of a classic and intimate New York-style studio with a modern, industry-focused approach to screen performance for a Los Angeles market. As an actor's director, Tom understands the performance process from a place of practice, rather than theory, and his teaching style echoes his experience. There is perhaps no greater opportunity than to learn from those who are self-taught, and have forged their own success.

Tom's class was explained to me as a great space to explore, challenge, and work the actor's muscle. It's a place to push yourself, take on the parts that thrill and terrify you, the stuff you don't often get to audition for. What I couldn't have known is what an amazing sense of community comes with it. Everybody is so supportive, respectful of each others work, and encouraging. Of course, that all starts with the environment that Tom creates. Couldn't recommend it more!

I loved Tom’s on-camera acting class! He really has a gift for creating an intimate, safe space where you can just show up as you are but he then gives you super specific direction to help you make courageous choices & drop into roles from the space of your REAL voice. This class is the perfect workout for actors ready to stop performing the “idea” of them and start being who they really are and letting that show up in their work.

I truly believe Tom’s scene study class is the best in LA. It made me remember why I love acting. I have grown so much over the past couple of months of working with not only Tom, but the amazing actors he brings in, the bar is set very high and I am always challenged to become a better actor each class. Tom’s background as a writer, director, and actor is very evident in the way he teaches. He is able to work with you as collaborator but also question and challenge you to go deeper in your work. I am so grateful I found this class and highly recommend.

I have taken both Tom’s On Camera and Scene Study classes. Tom is both an actor and a director, so he can relate to you as an actor but also knows what looks good from a director’s perspective. He also has a friendly coaching approach and a welcoming class environment. Highly recommend!
