Winery Schramsberg Vineyards reviews
14The best tasting experience in Napa. The caves are simply amazing. Lisa Macek did such a great job.
Wonderful tasting and great tour! Highly recommend checking out Schramsberg and say hi to their 2 cats while enjoying some bubbly.
The company I work for tasked me with purchasing individual bottles of Champagne for all of our employees this holiday season. The bottles needed to be shipped to each individual employee (40+ across the US), under a time crunch. My wife and I have spent a decent amount of time in Napa and were very familiar with Schramsberg Vineyards so I called them and talked to Will. He was so helpful and great to work with that we ended up ordering the 40+ bottles for my company's employees, signed up for a club membership, and ordered holiday gifts for our friends and family. Whether you're looking for corporate gifts, presents for friends or family, great wine, or for a phenomenal customer experience in general, I'd highly recommend Schramsberg Vineyards and Will!
This is a really great find! One of the longest running wineries in the Napa valley, these guys are seeped in history!
But that's just the beginning, because the sparkling wine is extraordinary. This is definitely a must visit for the champagnoise lover! (I totally butchered that spelling!)
Excellent experience indeed, family had a great time we will remember for the rest of our lives!
My father and I visited this lovely, historic winery on a quick trip to Napa. The experience was top notch from start to finish. Schramsberg is limited to the number of guests they can accommodate each day (a silly CA rule), but the limited number of guests accommodated meant that the tour size was intimate and it felt like we were the only people onsite! The wines are fabulous, the property and caves are amazing and our host was incredibly generous with his time and information (1.21.20). We took many bottles home for ongoing enjoyment! Thank you Schramsberg team for a wonderful experience!
Loved the history and the tour! This is a must go place in Napa. Our guide Lauren was very personable and gave some great recommendations. The sparking wine is delicious!
WOW! What a fantastic experience we all had at this winery! The tour is wonderful.the caves are just loaded with thousands of bottles of sparkling wines, racks upon racks everywhere! The wines we all tasted were unbelievable. The Rose was just DEVINE. 1st stop on Saturday morning and just nailed it! Can’t say enough about the staff and winery itself! A MUST STOP when in wine country.
What an incredible place! The wine is fantastic and the staff are super friendly. Easily my favorite place after many trips to Napa.
Art gave us a very informative tour. I definitely recommend this tour and tasting to anyone visiting. Schramsberg is rich in history, beautiful caves and lovely bubbles.
Really enjoyed our visit to Schramsberg last week. We did the cave tour with Lindsey and he was a great guide. Learned a lot and drank some delicious sparkling wine! Great way to start or end your day in Napa!
Off the beaten path and a unique experience. Casey our tour guide was great and gave an informative and entertaining tour. The caves and history of the two eras of the winery are fascinating. I am saving the 5th star for a tour that shows some more of the current equipment, even if only briefly.
I have been on the cave tour and raring many times but never the cheese pairing option.
The cave tour is impressive along with the story of the history of the property. You’ll spend 15-20 minutes walking through the caves and seeing the literally millions of bottles that are stored. You’ll also learn about the process to make sparking wine including the riddling process.
We then sat down to 5 wines with cheeses and other small items to try the wines with and experience how the flavors change with what your are eating. There is no better sparkling wine in the valley.
In short, I’ll never give this place a dime of my money ever again. We did the $125/person tour. The wine, food pairings and tour guide were all amazing. The part that made our trip a never again was the owner. When we arrived at the parking lot, a truck was stopped, then suddenly started backing up all while not in a spot. My husband veered around as the truck was about a foot away from hitting us. The driver then yelled obscenities and blamed us for driving erratically.we pulled into a lot slowly and he clearly didn’t see us. He yelled about how we should be patient.patient for him to hit our car? !? ! Turns out, he’s the owner. We saw his picture on the wall when we did our tour. We were prepared to buy a couple cases of wine, but instead we will happily spend our money at one of the other thousands of wineries in the area. Thanks for the warm welcome, Hugh. Hope you’re nicer to your staff than you were to your customers.
