I've been seeing Scott for years and I would never go anywhere else. I'm really particular about my hair and he always nails the fine details that really make for a truly exceptional haircut. He takes his craft seriously has no trouble with my fine hair with is notoriously difficult to cut.

Scott is the man. Hands down the most knowledgeable hair stylist I have ever had who takes the time to explain your hair, what it does, and what it will take to get the look you want. I have had several cuts now and each one is better than the last. My hair grows out well and looks better as it gets longer thanks to the attention to detail that Scott has.

Also, if you found this looking for a review on Mo Flo, I’ve been using it since my first cut and it’s the best holding product for hair that I have used. I like a matte, dry finish and this stuff is perfect, doesn’t cause me to breakout, and holds for a long time, even sweating it out in the gym.

I’ve been through many a hairdresser over the years in addition to trying 8-9 different products (sea salt sprays, gels, etc.) in my hair over the last 10 years… and nothing compares to Scott’s cuts and products! I’ve used the Tahiti Surf Spray daily for the last 2 years, and it keeps my curls contained while also giving them endless je ne sais quoi. Perfect for going out on the town and also gives a professional look for the office (if that’s your jam). Trust me, use this spray once and you’ll never go back.

I lucked out when I found Scott over 8 years ago when I moved here. He's changed locations, I've moved a bit farther away, but he's still "my guy". In addition to giving a great cut, he's a great conversationalist. I always look forward to seeing him. I also like that he's respectful of the appointment time and keeps a tidy workspace.

Scott has been cutting my hair for 14 years. He knows exactly what to do & I wouldn't trust anyone else to touch it! My hair grows out so well between cuts. His new sea salt spray is amazing too. It adds so much texture to my fine hair - I love using a couple sprays before I curl it. Makes the waves last all day! And the smell is heavenly - like you are on a tropical beach somewhere.

Scott is an incredibly talented hair stylist with a tremendous amount of experience. He is always consistent and does an incredible job. I could not be happier about his work. You will not be disappointed.

Scott always does a great job with my haircuts. I first started going to him 6 years ago and I'm always a fan of his work and my wife is as well. I briefly moved away from the LA area, but one of the first things I did after I moved back was schedule an appointment with Scott.

Scott is the best stylist I’ve been too. In addition to his top notch skill, he takes time to learn about your hair. He listens to your concerns, needs, ideas etc to make sure he gets it right and you’re happy with the cut. After all, we know our hair better than anyone. It’s a collaborative process. Prices are fair, the studio is clean, and Scott has a great personality. Go no further. You have found the best!

Recently, I went with this shop to ask for my haircut. The place was clean, smell great, and stylish. While waiting for my turn, I like the fact that their shop has a bookshelf filled with books, magazines, and news that was entertaining to read. Besides, the barber that entertained me was very talented and friendly. In the end, he successfully did my haircut. Great job!

I have been going to Scott for a couple of years and he is the best. I don't have easy hair and he does a masterful job on it each time. If you want to try something new, he wont finish until you are completely satisfied. He has a great little studio inside Salon Republic, and is happy to offer you a cold beer while you get a cut. Finally, he is generally just a nice guy, relaxed and fun to talk with. Highly recommend.

All these reviews are legit. Scott Riffe is as good as they proclaim. I have tough hair to cut (70s surfer do - his words), but Scott nails it perfectly every time. I don't put anything in my hair and often don't comb it, and this is only possible if I get great cuts. So, Scott makes my life easier and better. He's always running on time too, so this makes scheduling easy. And, he's a great dude. Two thumbs up for Scott Riffe!

Scott has been my hairstylist for more than 10 years. I trust him implicitly with my hair. He always checks to make sure he's doing what I want at the time. He's a natural and has artistic taste. He knows my personality and what suits me. I've seen him cut other people's hair and he always makes them feel relaxed and comfortable. His price is incredibly fair, especially when you consider that he's working in Santa Monica, surrounded by other eager stylists, all wanting to build and maintain a solid client roster.
