Sea Lion Viewing Area, San Francisco CA

The sea lions are super cute and the place is beautiful, great for taking pictures and enjoying the sunset.

Great, beautiful, beautiful, magical place to live with the most beautiful secrets of the ocean. When they visit San Francisco, they are forced to be a stopover in such a beautiful haven.

It's wonderful being at pier 39 and seeing the sea lions. They are typically there and quite loud. Absolutely adorable though and they have good information that can be provided to you on them.

Great place to see these majestic water mammals. They like to talk a lot and put on a show. Worth the stop to see.

Great place hangout with kids! One hour validation if you eat at one the restaurantsJust a fyi November did not have a lot of seals.

We used to live almost across the street from here so we've been coming for years and a lot. They've added things recently, new signage, new seating, there's almost always at least one sea lion around, even in off season sometimes they're lazy ones that don't seem to do the trip to Mexico.

It's a good time.

It's definitely different than it was 30 years ago! Quite run down! You can still watch the sea lions but they are far away and not nearly as many of them as in years past. They are still fun to watch!

Pier 39 in San Francisco is a pleasant place from where it is possible to observe sea lions, pelicans, etc.

It is a place for sea lions to stay there, they are protected there.
There are also the piers nearby. You can take the ship to Alkatraz and also take a sightseeing trip there
